Oddeus: But 100 Gb for an isometric rpg? This is either the biggest game of all time, or the prettiest.
BG3 will be 100+ as well.

Enebias: Moderately optimistic since I liked both Pathfinder, but please, please no romance. Especially with the perfidious Aeldari. It's Warhammer, there's no room for positivity! :P

P-E-S: I kinda miss the early days of Warhammer, especially with 40K being a bit goofy. Now it's just grim darkness everywhere. Boring! =P
I wasn't there in the early days, but... I think it's clear its grim darkness is not to be taken seriously, it's extreme for the sake of it. I say think because not everyone seem to understand the obvious, like the people that made a fuss when they were told things like "The Boys" were parody and satire.

(I honestly cannot suffer "romance" in RPGs, so unironically cringeworthy most of the times... I have PTSD from Bioware)

Edited for brutal typos.

Reglisse: Nice!
No release date?
Early Access is okay too ^^

RPGFanboy: They are releasing beta next year, so it is possible.
Great!
Thank you :)
Finally, been waiting for this since Mortismal showed it on his channel. Whatever Owlcat brings, and whatever they make of the source material, I'll eat it up.
There is a lot of lore for the taking, and also a well regarded pen and paper RPG set in the 40K universe, so this could potentially be pretty good.
Recap of the Fourth Quarter of 2022
"Collection of highlights from the last 4 months of development of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader."

Dev Diary #3: Enemy Creation
"Every formidable Rogue Trader needs worthy enemies to fight against.
And creating those enemies means we have to pour our heart and soul into every little detail.
Let us show you how it's done, using the terrifying Helbrute as an example."

40K boasts dark humour, more or less subtle. Grim darkness is there for those who enjoy it, but humour never left.

This particular setting within 40K seems suggestive, I would like to hear more about this.

I always thought Warhammer would be a very good universe for RPG games.
Even if these days the franchise went into a totally different direction, I actually liked Ian Watsons first books.
After his introduction to the Space Marines (how the soldiers are recruited and built, there spirituality, their worship for the emperor and their dead primarchs, how they live and operate as initiates and later as fully developed soldiers) he wrote a story about an inquisitor, who travels with an assassine, a mechanic and a navigator around to uncover a big conspiracy, later the group is joined by a space marine, the main character from his first book, separated from his chapter, his armor broken. Sadly the inquisitor's story was never finished, ended after two books with an open end.
But that was actually a very neat fantasy novel, something like that could work very well in an RPG.
Dev Diary #4: Factions of the Koronus Expanse
"If you want to lead your trade empire to success in the Koronus Expanse, you’ll need to know your allies and enemies."
This one looks nice. Wishlisted and subscribed.
Location Trailer
"In this one, we want to show how our team has recreated the iconic Warhammer atmosphere, even from an isometric point of view.
And there is one killer surprise, so we advise watching until the very end!"

Ixamyakxim: Looks cool -

... but I hope it involves the Void Ship a lot more. Upgrading, turnbased space combat, resource management and upgrades - I feel like half the fun of being a Rogue Trader is the ship, and not just reskinning "generic D&D / Pathfinder / Wasteland CRPG with a Warhammer coat of paint"
A bit like Battletech then! I would like to have the game make you give that feeling of having a ship taking you places, as well.

A 40K CRPG......with a badass ship to travel around on......and a rogue trader character as the MC?

Nuff Said

Yup that'd be fantastic! Absolutely loved the new Mechwarrior games too (first person and turnbased). Would love something like this, even if pared down, combined with the more traditional CRPG that this game showcases.
Feature Trailer

"Take a look at our new trailer with brand new locations and enemies, a reveal of a new companion - the Space Wolf, Ulfar, and finally a brief glimpse into the nefarious machinations of Chaos and its role within the narrative."
