Two great games, straight from Retrovibe, are coming soon on GOG – check them out!

Undead West

The cowboy you play has been killed in a revolver duel against the Man in Red. Death agrees to resurrect you so that you may carry out your quest for revenge. But there is a catch. Death requests that you pay back your revival debt in souls. Every adversary killed on the road to vengeance grants you a soul that can be used to unlock various new guns to use, as well as whiskey - a mixture used during combat for short boost.

Only Lead Can Stop Them
Boot up your 486 and launch olcst.exe for this retro fps from an alternate 1990's. Descend into the madness of the Spanish Civil War fighting vicious fascist forces and supernatural monsters. Conquer three action packed episodes wielding machine guns, rifles, flamethrowers and explosives.

Wishlist them now!
I got both games on my radar since a while. Great to see they'll be available here. +2 for my wishlist.
The Spanish Civil War is not common in videogames, more focused on WWII. Wishlisted Only Lead Can Stop Them, and i thought that it is developed by a Spanish Studio but no, it is from a Sweden company.
" Only Lead Can Stop Them "
And only neophyte developers don't remember: The early 1990s never looked like that.

That looks like an FPS for the Amiga, (derogatory). There's a very clean and clearcut line of history that can be traced though the PC FPS linage, even including oddball titles like Ken Silverman's soft reboot of Hugo, Nitemare 3D.

One will note that across these titles, there is a very deliberate care given to the visual style and consistancy; not even because of One House, One Style, but because they wanted to make visually clear games. Unclear FPS games tended to go in the dustbin of history like H.U.R.L, Isle of the Dead, or Depth Dwellers. Kings of Kusoge.

By the time we reach truly polygonal games, a 486 would never cut it, so moot point.

As for Undead West? Looks like danmaku Robotron sucked dry of all colors, whatever.
"Undead West and Only Lead Can Stop Them" sounds way better as a single title, even if very "engrish".

"Only Lead Can Stop Them" looks great as far as the art goes (nice and colorful), but the brief glimpse of the menu they showed looked very sparse. I hope it at least has a reverse Y-axis option.

Where do they claim they did look like EARLY 90s? "retro fps from an alternate 1990's" doesn't mean "early". This game looks like "Wolfendoom" - a little bit better than Wolfenstein 3D but not as good as DOOM.

GOG.com: Only lead can stop them
Sure. But it takes a while...

Only Lead

Looks like a seizure waiting to happen.
Both games will release on December 9, 2024. I hope there is no release delay between different game stores so all will get them the same day.
