You’re not ready for this news – the newest title from 11 bit studios, The Thaumaturge, is coming soon to GOG!

The Thaumaturge is an isometric, story-rich RPG with a unique approach to tactical combat, character development features, and investigation mechanics. Set at the mere beginning of 20th century, in Warsaw under the yoke of imperial Russian tsardom, you’ll face morally ambiguous choices; all while discovering a whole darker side of the universe, mysterious powers and strange ethereal beings called Salutors.

Despite the circumstances Warsaw is forced to live in, it’s a buzzing metropolis – you’ll meet a variety of inhabitants, learn about ancestries, views and beliefs of conflicting interests, Russian Soldiers, Jewish Merchants, Polish townspeople, and many, many more. While experiencing the city life, you’ll get to attend breathtaking parties with the high society, only to later get robbed in a dark alley of the Praga district. You’ll see great hopes, dreams, dark desires; but above all, you won’t be able to ignore the Thaumaturges, individuals versed in taming Salutors, used for manipulation and combat.

Prepare to shape your story through alternate choices and their consequences, develop your character, defeat your foes in a unique combat experience of both human attacks and psychic strikes from Salutors; influence and manipulate, and tame the power of those ethereal beasts. But that’s not all – let yourself be fully immersed in the world that’s inevitably gone, with historically accurate environment, figures, and the charm of crime and luxury going side by side.

Soon on GOG!
Onto the forum with you! And my wishlist!

Can't find anything on it because thaumaturge is a class in pathfinder.

Hm, very interesting! Wishlisted. Will investigate more on release. I am pleased that it doesn't look "xcom like" from what is visible on the game page so far. This kind of game could easily have gone that (not so fun, especially for an RPG) direction.

No such class in the proper version of Pathfinder. (They'd've gotten to it eventually.) :)
In 1993 I started in the world of RPGs. No, I didn't play Dungeons & Dragons like many kids in the 80's and early 90's.
My first contact was with the JRPGs. Final Fantasy series, Mystic Quest, Chrono Trigger, Tales of Phantasia, Vagrant Story, Soul Blazer, Illusion of Time and Terranigma... and more. I have to admit that the old Japanese role-playing games are among my favourite and most loved games.

Then I got into American and European role-playing games. Nowadays, without going into details and dilemmas, it seems to me that the best role-playing games are American and European. I really like those RPGs that come from Germany, Poland, Russia, among others. Post apocalyptic and Cyberpunk themed games are among my favourites.

Anyway... I won't go on any longer. What I want to say is that this game looks interesting, promising and frankly impressive. The art and design leaves me open-mouthed. It's clear that Fool's Theory and 11 bit studios are behind this game. Without doubt, on the wish list.
Thanks, GOG!
Consider me intrigued.

But UE5 ? Hmmm that shall be doubly interesting then.

Sounds genuinely interesting and unique! I’ll keep an eye on it.

The same developer as Seven but a different publisher. Now we get to find out which is to blame for Seven's missing patch.
Looks interesting, wishlisted.

"Recently announced for a December 5th release, The Thaumaturge will now launch on February 20th, 2024 on PC. As the finishing touches were put on the game over recent weeks, the team saw the opportunity to add more polish and quality, and given they have the comfort to allow themselves some extra time the decision was made to delay."
