Get ready for this atmospheric first-person gameplay; The Gap is coming soon on GOG!

In this game, driven by the rare illness plaguing his family, Joshua is compelled to confront the most profound layers of his past – a collection of moments that encapsulate both beauty and pain. His journey involves navigating alternate dimensions via déjà vu, which appears to be his sole path to reclaiming lost memories and rebuilding his shattered life.

Soon on GOG!
Weird, this doesn't look like a disenfranchised Old Navy employee.
I think "reclaiming lost memories" is quickly becoming the most common trope in gaming. Who knew amnesia was so very common?

It isn't, but if you're a hack writer who only knows basic tropes or flunked out of writing 101? Easy peasey.

It isn't even too hard to think of interesting twists such as having to figure out what's wrong with false memories and correcting them, or even constructing entirely new memories for someone who wants to live a better life than they had lived.
