joppo: It is quite convenient for Gog to say that the only way to express our displeasure is through PM. It is outside the view of other users. This way it's possible to just ignore any negative feedback received and pretend everyone loves all decisions Gog takes.
Dude, people on this forum are notorious for putting their PMs in comments for everyone else to read, if they feel so.
So, if you think, there's something in your PMs to the blues that everybody should know about, what's keeping you from doing it?
Yet another potentially interesting thread about a fascinating title derailed again... We can't even discuss a new game that has come out without it devolving into useless back-and-forth forum skirmishes.

wolfsite: Might want to remove the Steam link at the bottom :)
Amazing. They couldn't have timed that worse given last week's events.

Swedrami: Link is gone from https://www.gog.com/game/recursive_ruin, however it still remains on https://www.gog.com/game/recursive_ruin_demo.
Haha, 8 hours later and it's still there.

The game actually looks quite good, I'm just being distracted by GOG's ineptitude.

I wish they'd fix it, so we can get back to this interesting game, and maybe share similar ones?

How about NaissanceE, as it's free or maybe even Deadcore? They're both on another platform, so if you're not boycotting them, then you might give these two a go!

For more title at home, Jazzpunk is pure stoner-bait with some clever puzzles to boot; you can also check out far away protocol and also Broken Reality, I don't have the last two yet as I'm waiting for a sale...
Kaleidoscopic surealism? A cat named Behemoth? Bizarre celestial denizens? Wishlisted! :D

Thanks for the demo. Much appreciated. We can never have enough demos! :P
Shades of Lisp ca 1970 and the IBM 360/370, keypunches, card readers, even line printers, when T-Rexes roamed the Jurassic landscape! ((;--))
Lol they posted a Steam link. Another great game there a bit like this would be Maquette. In that game changes to a miniature world affect the bigger world outside.
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/maquette
I'm sorry if the Community Wishlist contains Steam links, cause you know, it's where every game is. Maybe you should lock it, or lock the forum. And give Steam links yourself in the GOG store pages lol.
I've played Recursive Ruin demo btw, it's the bomb. If you like Portal-likes and Escher give it a try.

matterbandit: A cat named Behemoth?
ah yeah that cat freaked me out playing at night

mqstout: Demo page too.

Seriously, does anyone WORK at GOG? Is it just a moderately trained AI? Is there truly zero editing before hitting publish, even a basic eye scan? Or the Steam links are easily automated! Why does this happen constantly? Does GOG need more shoestrings for its shoestring budget that CDP lets them work with? Is literally everyone occupied full-time with Galaxy and GWENT nonsense?

I'd be out of a job if I messed up as often as GOG seems to. What's the core reason for all of GOG's constant mess-up-ery lately? Is it staffing? Bad management? Too much lunch booze? What?
they were able to manage a store with 400 Good Old Games, they have no idea what they are doing now
The demo still has the Sream link
https://www.gog.com/game/recursive_ruin_demo

This demo page should be locked, and this news thread as well.

Are those specs accurate, or should some of the "MB" instead say "GB"? For a game which looks like this to fit into "4 MB RAM" or "2 MB available space" seems it would require an impressive act of "demoscene" coding. :-)

it's wrong on Steam, so it's wrong here because these GOG store pages are a copy and paste from there, this time with even the page link included.

The cat behemoth comes from Master and Margarita ;)

Please keep in mind that the teams don't work after hours. That's why it took so long. The link is gone now.

yeah, I would normally be celebrating the arrive of a game this cool here. There is a demo here so anyone can see for themselves it's good.

LOL! That just makes me wanna play it more. ;) Can't wait to test the demo.

I think there was a significant overlap between that 8-hour window and the working day, so I was referring to the gap between the link being mentioned and the end of the working day.

Worth a try to see if my weak system is up to it, certainly.

I just played the demo tonight, in the dark, with headset on... It was mega trippy! xD And challenging enough to keep me interested. Looking forward to this title!

This is why demos are so important: they can really help sell a game. Also, it allowed me to test my rig. Looks like my computer can handle the kaleidoscopic hallucinations. Apparently, so can I, but barely. :P

You were right. That black void of a cat did make the hairs on my forearm raise a little. ;) But I loved every second of it. xD
