JMB9: Yes - really an interesting game for GNU/Linux.
And 1st one not stating proprietary drivers necessary which is wrong for a long time
when good HW is involved - it is only Nvidia - which is clearly stated.
With the video it looks very promising ...
Just wonder if Ubuntu 18.04 is GOG or the developers, as this will soon be EoL
and not suitable for current HW (e.g. last 2 gen {soon 3 gen} graphics).
But this is just official support - which is non existing on GOG.
So everything is green. ;)
After Steam it may appear in June 2022 ... on GOG probably a little later,
but I would guess not much later.
Hi, I am the dev.
Ubuntu 18.04 is just the default GOG distro, I have Mint installed. If Unity supports your distro, then the game will support it too.
GOG and Steam should release at the same time.
Just to be clear about drivers: the game launches on open source drivers on my 1080 Ti, but it is choppy and would be unnacceptable for me if I were the player. After I switched to NVidia's drivers, then it was working perfectly fine. The game is a standard Unity project and I'm not an Elder Linux Wizard, I think I can't do much about this issue other than suggest proprietary drivers.
If you really hate NVidia's closed source drivers, want to use open source drivers and have the same problem as me, then feel free to refund the game and leave a negative review.
Cheers!
