I've said this in a different post a while back, but people who despise Anime titles for their more sexualized content, yet CONSOOM virtual manslaughter simulators like Call of Duty and Battlefield without batting an eye are very inconsistent with their ideology.

The tried and true excuse is "WELL IT'S NOT REAL VIOLENCE, BRO!. ALL DIGITAL, BRO!". And, well, so are the Anime games you claim to hate so much. What's the difference, exactly?.

I'm of the opinion that both kinds of games are degenerate. The West portrays Women as masculine and unattractive, while the East portrays Women as whores. The Based middleground is long gone.
The reason to be upset about this game isn't the fan service, but that it's just not that good of a game in the first place.

Look it up.

It initially looks like a cross between a visual novel and Dynasty Warriors. Unfortunately review after review cites how this game is extremely repetitive due to stuff like map areas that all feel the same regardless of which one you're on and quests that keep sending you to the same spot multiple times in a row. It might be worth picking up on sale if you have played both Neptunia and Senran Kagura such that you just want more of either, while being a hard pass for everyone else.

They are a bit all over the place so it looks like it will be a "You will either like it or hate it" sort of game.

Akeashar: First up, despite what another poster said, this is a Neptunia game through and through.
Are you referring to me? I am not denying that it is set in the Neptunia universe with Neptunia characters. I am denying that the gameplay is anything resembling the original Neptunia games. The fact that I like the characters and writing as well as the game is why I will be buying it anyway, in spite of the fact that gameplay matters as well.

Guts: ok
Titties: burn the devs!!!
Wishlisted. Don't see what the fuss is all about, this stuff's absolutely tame by any fanservice standards.
high rated
It's nice to see that Idea factory keeps releasing their games here... I Wish other publishers could do the same.
Not exactly the Senran Kagura game I've been hoping for...

To be honest, I wasn't pointing fingers at anyone in particular, just responding to that particular comment regarding it. It was intended as a response to that train of thought rather than a calling out.

I played the original trilogy on PS3, Re;Birth1 & 2 on Vita (before I stopped playing Neptunia due to my hate of Neptune and Plutia in Victory) as well as the Noire and Idol-sim games that came out between them. So I take what I feel is a Neptunia game from the inclusion of the spinoffs as well, more of the characters / conventions of the game rather than the genre itself.

Producing Perfection was pretty unfairly maligned, and I'd put that on NISA as it was their final localised title before Compile Heart/IF cut ties with them. Pretty harsh since it meant that anyone thats only played the Re;Birth titles onwards missed out on the character of NISA. It'd be nice if PP got a port one day.
Already released on the other store. GOG release date now set to November 7th. :(
Thanks for nothing Idea Factory!

yeah, kinda sad.

on the other hand I dont have to drop money on this game now and can wait a bit and look how the pc port is going to be.
Just hope they will add achievements. I get where the japanese devs are coming from: let us release it later drm free so people do not pirate.
even though I am pretty sure they would lose money bc people who wanna pirate are going to do so anyway.

until 7th of november then idea factory!
Guess I'll pick this up at a steep discount then. Just as well since there's no clothing destruction or CPU transformations.
wow why even have the "soon" part if the game is still nearly half a bloody year away i dont know if this is gog or idea factory but they just lost me i aint buying this on steam and if this is for piracy reason people pirate steam games aswell as far as i am a aware...so why even bother releasesing it there then...bah whatever
