MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is an action, sci-fi simulator where we level entire cities and decimate the enemy in our war machines known as BattleMechs.

Its latest DLC Rise of Rasalhague is coming soon to GOG!

This installment will allow us to join the people of Rasalhague in a fight for freedom and independence from the Great Houses, and discover the Crusader 'Mech, in a new 12 mission quest line. The Inner Sphere will be more alive than ever with Rival mercenary companies and interactions with the infamous Bounty Hunter.

Make sure your Mech is fully prepared for these new adventures!
WWOOO!!! More stompy robot action!

I was wondering if they were going to add the crusader from MWO into 5. Glad to see that it's happening.
I'm confused. I know I've seen many people on this board before saying that this game is dead and also the whole IP is dead when it comes to MechWarrior PC games.

But this new DLC seems to contradict those ideas.

So what's up with that contradiction?
This is a nice surprise. I did read somewhere that this game was being shelved to focus on other projects...or something like that....who cares?!?.....one of the rare times I am happy to see more DLC!

People have been pronouncing doom upon mechwarrior for years. Never quiet seems to happen thought.
I'm ambivalent on the campaign missions--I played through the Fourth Succession ones and they were kinda interesting but not amazeballs--but the rival mercs system sounds like good fun. Really anything to make the random missions more interesting gets a thumbs up.

edit: Also, sounds like we're going to get more than 12 active mechs as a free update. Praise Blake!! Big gripe of mine is that PGI did light/medium mech action extremely well compared to previous games, but between that and the reputation system, it's not viable after early game unless you load up on mods.

I thought Call to Arms was going to be the end. Glad to see that it isn't.
Dog love ya, you sneaky, sneaky Piranhas...

Keep going. Maybe we'll finally get a mechwarrior game that lives up to the IPs potential </jinx>
Hmmm, not mad but thought Call to Arms was the last DLC? Well, not complaining, glad there's another. Will be getting it for sure. Now add little army dudes and civilians running around without the use of a mod.

I think it was a not unreasonable assumption after reports that the studios owner was moving most the team to support Lord Of The Rings Online or something.
Hell yes!!! Man this is the best news in a long time

PB said as much due to low sales. Unfortunately their decision to go epic exclusive killed the launch and many potential buyers lost interest a year later when it released everywhere else. This leaving mostly the most dedicated BT and MW fans getting it. Add to that launch bugs and poor AI, they really botched it.

I waited since 2004 for this game and I absolutely love it. Add the mods to that and all, I just hope its not another 16+ years, and hope someone adds the clans.

But mainly to answer your question, they said the last DLC was going to be it with no further plans for dev and scrapped MW6. They didnt confirm it, but it was said at an investors meeting and they never denied it.
