Nudge, nudge, wink, wink GOG Team ;)
I so wish this wasn't the end of MW5 development.

I wasn't too crazy about the game at first, but it's grown on me. It would have been nice to be able to continue the timeline up to, say, a certain invasion...

Indeed.
Especially since Microsoft had the downloads of 1 & 2 axed a few years ago and there's no officially sanctioned way to get them any longer.

Maybe that's being saved for MW6? Hopefully....

Now if GoG can just get Mechwarrior 1 through 4 in their catalog.
Hooray! But also Boo! because it'll probably break every single mod out there, and mods really make this game good. :P

Ahh well, the mod makers should be able to get the problems ironed out in a few days. ^,,^

Here's hoping :)

But I'd still like it better if they tacked on a big, old-fashioned expansion to MW5. The game works pretty well as-is, and the timeline goes up to the 3050s already. Seems a shame to make a whole new game where extra content would work just as well...
If this was a solo mech game affair I'd be all for MW5, but then I read how incredibly dumb and useless the player's AI teammates can be and it's an instant turn-off.

I don't remember it saying this was the last DLC, did I miss that?

A few months ago, after the EG7 buyout, they said Piranha staff was going to be ramping down MW5 development and put to work on LoTR online. The third DLC was the last one planned and no one was really sure whether or not it would come out. Now that it has, that might be all she wrote for MW5.

Which doesn't stop me hoping they'll go and change their minds :)
Weird that they didn't include the trailer:
