Mori_Yuki: Just read on Steam it got full controller support, keyboard works, but no freaking mouse input? Are you kidding me or what?

This game is dead for me then. No full support for native input no money. Congratulations, developers and thanks for helping me save some money. :-)
Shit.. no mouse? Yeah, it's dead..Un-wishlisted.

mqstout: Have you heard of zombies? Or, even more, soldiers?

Crosmando: Zombies are quite a generic concept though, while pirates are always depicted in the same cliche childish way (black sails, skull & crossbones, sabres etc).
It's never about the theme or how they're depicted. It's more about how they apply good writing and gameplay into said theme to make it interesting and fun game. Pirate based games tend to be polarizing because the game can be very good or very bad, no in between.
This looks a promising pirates RPG! ^_^
I enjoyed Windward and this appears to be a very similar concept. Will keep an eye on it.

Mori_Yuki: I can't help being reminded of Sea of Thieves judging by the screenshots. It looks like a little brother or sister or sisterly brother or brotherly sister or something totally different or in-between? Whatever hope this does live up to something more than being 'inspired by' - as in: fun to play, great to control, varied tasks, that sort of thing. ;-)
There is a Demo on Steam that last an hour. You can download it straight from the Steam Store Page of the Game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1209410/King_of_Seas/

Thanks but no thanks I am not in the least interested the demo or the game. Playing solely with keyboard, no mouse support, not even in the menu screens, no way to remap the keys to customize controls, this isn't worth my time. :-)

I must say that developers promised to maybe add customization and mouse support so maybe there's hope for it still. Until it happens this is project is dead to me. ;-)
Game looks like great fun! Gonna keep an eye on this one... Though two things make me hesitate a bit: procedural generation is very hit-and-miss (when it works, it's cool) and though the description promises "a universe full of amazing characters", I have watched the trailer three times and spotted not a single character. I was very curious to see some of them! Hope a demo becomes available on GOG. ;) Wish-listed for now.
