Beginning to think is beginning to be undermined – Albert Camus

If you are a fan of brain-scratching titles and often find yourself lost in deep thoughts, then we have a treat for you – Heavy Burden is coming soon to GOG.

This logical, adventure title based on The Myth of Sisyphus will let you enjoy the abstract game world and discover the philosophy of Albert Camus.

The gods condemned Sisyphus, because he was too arrogant and too dodgy, to roll a huge stone up the mountain, which kept falling and had to start all over again. It would seem that what could be worse than this useless work? What was Sisyphus thinking as he climbed to the top of the mountain? And what do we care about him? Perhaps you will find some answers to these difficult questions.

Is it a heavy shovelware though? :D
Many of the Whale Rock Titles are early access it seems. So another EA title incoming?

It could be worse. It could be a pre-order, with weekly 90% off sales to encourage you to buy it before release in December.

To think developers like Winter Wolves (Loren The Amazon Princess) or Altered Orbit Studios (Selaco) were rejected multiple times, yet this garbage gets released regularly is saddening. Curation on here has and always well be subpar.

great, more asset flips/shovelware seeping through your excellent manual curation. you're either friends with the 'dev'
or they have some dirt on you. bad precedent either way and I'm sure it's just the beginning. might as well bring down the overall quality of your catalog to the quality of your store (non-)functionality.

not even gonna ask for a simple ignore/hide game/developer option, you can't even do sales pages right (must-have 'show only discounted' filter, which is all of them, genius).
I wonder if they'll bother to finish this one

That is my experience as well, so often when i ask developers if their games will make it to gog they tell me that they got rejected by gog, while some developers can flood the store with half finished games they probably never plan to finish. That's really disappointing.

I hope you don't forget to put a half - page size banner on the front page of the store .
If they at least implemented some achievements...

After this...

... there is absolutely no argument to made for GOG's curation.

And with GOG's continually pushing of these "games" in constant sales or deals...

I start to wonder...

... is there something "wrong" going on behind-the-scenes?

It will make you think deeply on the weight of your purchase :P.
Either someone must buy these games since they produce them constantly or it's front company of some sort.

Another shining example that if there ever was any form of curation going on gog before, it's definitely gone now.

ps. You should really fix the missing drop down menu game count and the permanent purple dot, instead of wasting time on releases like this.
