Zibbozz: [DEVs] invested years of development into which costs no money at all. All games should be free.
Exactly, I dream of a perfect society where any product released by anybody is free to be consumed (because it causes nothing, resource like). Produces of Art are likely a different story (though digitisation(I draw a painting using software), copy/paste 2,3D printing etc.) will likely make the master and copies indistinguishable.

Think it's like a matter of ~ 10 years to happen, because of AI advances. Time will tell. Or not.
(What a good game to dive into ^^^)

Catventurer: In regards to Factorio specifically, I've always found the games graphics to be extremely ugly. Please don't debate me on this. It may look perfectly fine to people without defects in their ability to see color vision but I'm color-blind, so wouldn't know how it looks with normal color vision. I was hoping that Space Age might change that and give it an awesome space look, but it's still more of the same.
In Factorio's Graphics options there is a color filter setting with the options of Protanopia, Deuteranopia and Tritanopia.

To add to that, there's also an up-to-date demo on the devs' site.

Theoclymenus: No, you twist the meaning of the word through 180 degrees you scoundrel !
Wrong. You're an entitled crybaby. Have you ever thought about maybe not being an entitled crybaby? You'd be less miserable.

Thanks for the hint! Played it already once, but will have another go. Good time killer till Factorio gets a discount...

muarharhar!

By the way: why not more developers are offering a DEMO? And in this case a pretty good one.
On top even available on their website (not only exclusively at this other store like so many other devpubs do...) so it's freely accessible for everyone. I applaud in Wube's direction!

That reminds me... Win10 has color-blind filters too. The only difference that I'm seeing is that the game goes from looking so awful that I'd claim it makes eyes bleed (no filters) to slightly less hideous (with filters.) Unfortunately even with the filters on, the game won't be winning any beauty pageants.
I love Factorio and have spent 1000's of hours on it over almost a decade. I'm not even good at it. Theres just something about doing a deathworld + railworld and seeing what happens. Best $20 I've ever spent on any game ever.

This whole thread just made me laugh.
@Theo, for someone that declares they aren't interested, you are sure spending a lot of time being interested. Let it go mate. That level of angst to be right to strangers on the internet causes cancer in the long run.

Obligatory xkcd reference
I was drunk and angry when I wrote all of that. I was swearing and ranting embarrassingly and I wasn’t completely making sense (eric’s “sense of entitlement” actually means exactly the same as mine does !) I’ve done it before and I probably shouldn’t bother going on the internet any more, because I just don’t know when I’m losing it ! So, apologies to anyone I offended.

Sorry to amok as well.

There does not seem to be a news post but it seems to be buy-able now, same as on Steam.

Well, considering you have been on another completely unqualified rant in another game I am tracking a few days before that, I'll give you a heartfelt advise: I have seen how people completely ruined their lives by drinking. Make changes while it's still an option.
