amok: Aye, so far VirgilW have made demos of all his game on his site (https://knucklecracker.com/). It is also where I am going to buy this game, directly from the developer, as I think that he deserves as large cut as possible (blatant product placement)
Ahah, I do agree, same !
Though, I'm very hapy to finally see this serie here !!
I really liked Creeper World 3 and Particle Fleet. Can't wait to get my hands on Creeper World 4, though its a big difference between playing Creeper World in 2D and 3D. Hopefully we will see Creeper Workd 3 and Particle Fleet on gog too.
I did something yesterday I promised my late father I'd never do again:

I bought a game from Steam yesterday.

Well, many in fact. I bought the bundle that contained Creeper World 1-3 (and another game from the same publisher too). CW1 and CW2 cost like 0.99€ on Steam so...

I'll buy CW4 on GOG later, and if the publisher even decides to release the earlier games on GOG, why not them too.

I didn't try yet if the Steam versions can be played without the client (=DRM-free). I played the first few worlds in the first game to learn the game mechanism. The game seems ok, I wasn't quite hooked yet but it felt entertaining enough.

Can you save the game during a level? I wanted to stop for the day as the fourth or was it fifth world just kept going and going and I still seemed to be quite far from winning it, so I just exited the game and apparently I have to replay the whole mission from the start?

EDIT: Oh ok, the game could have been bought directly from the developer as well? Hmmm... well they cost quite much more there than on Steam (e.g. 4.99 on developer site). Anyway, he can bring the games also on GOG, I promise to buy them a second time then. How's that for support? :)

CW1? No sorry, load and save games are not until CW2, the first one do not have ths feature.
Awesome! I've played CW3 and in my opinion it's hell of fun. I never thought I would like to see this game in 3D but the amount of extra information you get just at a glance is going to make all the previous games in the series seam archaic.
I just played the Steam demo for a bit. I'm quite liking it. :)
I was hoping this would get on GOG but wasn't expecting it so this is a very pleasant surprise!!

I'm a huge fan of the Creeper World series and the spin-off Particle Fleet, and these are definitely games that need more exposure as I've never played another game like them.

Will be interesting to see how it plays in 3D vs the previous 2D versions - It looks a lot harder with all the new enemy types!

Instabuy!

I already own all the other games as Knucklecracker do a bundle on their website, but if you bring them here I'd totally rebuy them!

(I'd also buy Jets and Guns 2 if you bring that here... ;)
Are the versions bought from dev direct all drm free?
If you mean the direct-buy ones from the Knucklecracker website, no they are not totally DRM free - They require a registration key for activation, but it's not always-on DRM like Steam or Windows.

However if you are online, it does connect to some sort of knucklecracker server (I assume, as all the user-made downloadable levels and highscores appear like e.g. mods for Blendo games do)

Looks like an interesting series, I have no idea what it's about though.
Looks like this year wasn't a complete waste

I thought this was a sequel to the Psygnosis puzzle game, Creepers.
