It’s time for another great classic from SNEG – Captain Blood is coming soon on GOG, and you can try out the DEMO now!

It’s a pirate-themed action game where you play as a fearsome pirate seeking gold and glory. Expect adventures with cannon firing, pistol shooting, swashbuckling sword fights, and plenty of pirate shenanigans. This hack'n'slash features fierce combat, hordes of enemies and flashy combos.

Wishlist it now, and join our stream today at 8 PM UTC on https://www.twitch.tv/gogcom, where we’ll be joined by SNEG to play the demo and discuss video game preservation!
ok but 1988 Captain Blood when? :D
Finally this looks like a decent pirate game that's not made by Ubi. Unfortunately the trailer doesn't shed much light on the ship combat and sailing. There is also no indication about world size and if this is an open world game, oh i so hope it's not the linear crap again.
The development story of this game is such a confusing mess.
So props to SNEG for resurrecting it. Please resurrect Drakan: Order Of The Flame too!

See the video I linked in my comment above for the development history and review in the second half of the video.

I hate "the cool factor" in any media. Reminds me of how Shadowshit....I mean Shadowrun got turned into a cartoonish mess, aimed at 5yo people.

It will deminish the tone of the game and not expect much from the audience. So it tells us much before it is even sold.

Oh no, it looks like just another Pirates of the Caribbean style linear crap again. Seriously why is ubishit the only developer on this planet who knows how to make a real pirate game?!

Went searching for a Black Flag alternative and Skull & Bones popped up, that's right another game by ubishit!

I don't know it looks fine to me. It's a God of War game with a pirate theme. Not like we can have the real (classic) God of War on PC.

If it had not used a heavily-stylised art style, it would look far more dated now. This is basically a 2010 game. the "Cartoony" art style is helping it look less old.

Yes, this is a linear action game, not a Sid Meier's Pirates/Sea Dogs/Black Flag alternative.
SNEG is branching out into 360-era games now? Interesting. Then again, some of these are almost two decades old now. Time flies and al that.

Everyone (Aspyr, NightDive, SNEG and GOG) should branch into the 360 era. 2020s is the best time to be a PC gamer, but ~2010s were the worst time to be a PC gamer. So many publishers simply outright avoided the PC. It's nice to see Lollipop Chainsaw, RDR1 and SW Bounty Hunter finally arrive on PC. I'd love to see Wet (2009) on PC some day.

Which sucks! This is not what i'm looking for in a game about pirates.

And seriously, did you just put Sid Meier's Pirates and AC: Black Flag into the same category!?
Looks good to me, I don't have a problem with linear games. Quite the contrary. I'll try the demo, see how that goes.
Looks interesting and there is a demo? That is all I need to know. Time to check out the demo, you know, eventually. Is it bad that I even have a backlog of demos?
I'll try the demo.

Linear Games Be Fine. Open World Games Have Aplenty Of Trees And Caves And Muck And Grass and Mosqwitos And Little Much Else. Bring Me A Good Pirate Game And Call My A Happy Fellow!
