Flow like chaos.

<span class="bold">Caladrius Blaze</span>, a masterclass in shoot-em-up, is coming soon to GOG.com!

Formerly a console-exclusive, the quintessential corridor shoot-em-up comes to PC – where classic gameplay meets modern design, then clashes in a spectacle of flash, flesh, and destruction.

At it's core Caladrius Blaze is a SHMUP's SHMUP. But high production values and a few twists splash a fresh coat of paint and excitement on a familiar formula. Aside from standard attacks and upgrades, you'll need to master unique elemental weapons to both combo for the highest of high scores, and at times, to actually make it through the levels.

Caladrius Blaze isn't extremely long – but that's no bad thing either, because there's not a dull moment in sight. It never has to pull its punches either – and whether you're new or a veteran, there's bound to be a difficulty level to match what you've got.
Approach with care, the game does tend to get NSFW at times.

Yup. What a next to useless trailer. I had to search for a gameplay video to see what the game was about. (Actually, I grabbed the one from @Barry_Woodward. :P )

Anyway, I’m not interested. I’m not into Japanese stuff . . . yet—maybe that’ll change, one day!

Somewhat divisive aesthetics aside, this is one high-profile shmup, and I am shedding tears of joy to see GOG get it on release.

I hope GOG comes around and releases the plethora of other excellent shmups released on Steam over the past years. I will definitely be buying all of them on release.

Caladrius Blaze is definitely a great shmup (it's from the same team that makes the Raiden series), and this is a HUGE get for those of us who wanted more shmups on GOG.

With that said...

Man, that marketing material is the worst. It's a legitimately good entry in the genre that everyone assumes is porn because it's being sold exclusively on some cheesecake screenshots rather than the actual gameplay! There is a worthwhile game here, but you'd never know it thanks to the publisher aiming squarely at the crowd that treats games as glorified catalogs for body pillows.

It also, once again, makes me wonder why Degica shmups haven't been allowed here, particularly the ones from Cave which remain the pinnacle of the genre.

Interesting game, i hope it's not as hard as Ikaruga (or maybe i'm too old for this kind of shooters). :D

Unfortunately i still can't buy new games at GOG because too many developers just don't update their games here.
I don't wanna risk ending up with an outdated or broken game.

Outstanding, GOG is sorely missing SHMUPS. Will get this day one.

Now please go and bring everything Degica and Nyu Media released on steam to GOG.

Great to see another shmup coming to GoG . Arcade-syle games that you can pick and play are great. A lot of people don't always have the time or desire to have to put 1-2 hours into a game for very little progression.

I'll be buying this as soon as it's available. I'd also instantly buy all of the Cave shooters and Ikaruga if they made their way here. Arcade games are my favorite. Pinball Arcade and Stern Arcade would be good but I don't see them coming to GOG. If someone proves me wrong, I won't be upset. :)

After Steam got infested with all that anime crap it's now GOG's turn or what? I really hope this is an outlier and not a sign of things to come.
