I was skeptical – great trailer, but tells nothing about actual gameplay. But thanks to your answer and avatar I've just realized this game is made by DARQ dev – which was awesome! And it changes everything!

Looks like Tim Burton + Hotel Transylvania – i.e. great! :)

Any plans for Linux port perhaps? If no – could you tell us what engine is used? (I've played DARQ on Linux/Wine and AFAIR it worked perfect)
I can't quite get over how much those hands remind me of the Thief reboot thingy:

The concept seams interesting
and in some ways it reminds me of Overlord the first two games but withouth that many minnions crossed with a tim burton movie
if this game aims to do the same as the two first Overlord games and not take itself too seriously but still retain its own orginal iideas and flavors then maybe this game can end up be pretty fun to play

But is the trailer really in game footage and not just some pretty effects and Cinematics?

unfoldgames: This game has a pretty big mission attached to it: we're determined to create the most ambitious first-person simulation game ever. I don't know if we succeed or fail, but that's what we're aiming to deliver. Because of that, the development timeline is hard to predict and I wouldn't want to say something that would force me to take shortcuts and release an unpolished game. So the short answer is: it will be released when it's hella cool and bloody awesome :)

Unlike DARQ, which was mostly a one-person project (I didn't know a thing about game development when I started working on DARQ), Bloody Hell Hotel is a "AA" game with a pretty large team behind it. We're lucky to have some amazing people on board. Our art director has worked for Disney, Dreamworks, Universal, our voice director has worked on Baldur's Gate 3, our sound engineer is known for Inception, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. We're working with a 60-piece symphony orchestra and voice actors who are known for their prominent roles in AAA titles. Please keep your fingers crossed for us - we're trying to make game that is bold, impactful, and extraordinary, for all of you to enjoy.
Whoa! That's awesome, hope everything goes well and we receive a great experience! Best wishes!
I was about to say "why does the look of this reminds me so much about DARQ"?
Then "DUH".

I'm intrigued, definitely wishlisted.
I'm an old guy who's been playing computer games since they've existed. When games went 3D it dawned on me that there now existed, at least in seminal form, the possibility of VR movies--"movies" which you weren't limited to experiencing from an external theater seat, but from within as a free-roaming observer. This game, while it still obviously remains a game--i.e. it has the player interacting heavily with the environment and directing the narrative on the fly--nevertheless has a feel that is close to what I envisioned way back then. I can't know until I see the full product, but that was the first thing that struck me while watching the trailer--that it felt like I was inside a movie. That alone makes this one a must-buy for me.
Ooooh this game looks amazing! :D

It seems to include most of my favourite things in games: managerial stuff, farming and vampires :D

Thank you for your in detail answer.
As others said, take your time and all the best.
Additionally, thank you for bringing this game to GOG, as this is not a matter of course.

I guess the game will be an instabuy for me ;)
