We did a brief interview here: https://ink.mostepic.win/beautiful-desolation-launching-in-2020-an-interview-with-the-brotherhood/
That was a good read with a couple of hints about gameplay and game's world. I can't wait to play it :)
First time I've seen a dev comment in threads like this. Very cool. Amps up my interest in the game more than it already was. Now to click on some of the links they provided and read some more....
The game looks good and interesting. But why does it come without Linux support?

First of all, thanks for showing your face here on the forums and replying to questions, that's always very much appreciated. :-)

Secondly - from the heart - I really ... kind of liked ... Stasis and Cayne. I found both profoundly disturbing games, so "I loved that" is kinda -- weird to say, although it's true in a way. To say it differently: I'm gamer since 1988 and have played many hundreds of game, but Stasis and Cayne are both games that stand out and are unforgettable. I would have loved to have another game in that setting, but I also understand the need to move on as a creator.
I'm very thrilled about how BEAUTIFUL DESOLATION will turn out - the setting already sounds interesting. Africa is a very neglected - or very badly cliche'd - setting in western movies or games.

Lighting looks a bit too bright.

We are concentrating on the Windows build for now, the game is really massive in scope so testing takes time. Once we have a stable, perfect Windows build we will do OSX and Linux.

Thanks! We have thrown in a fair amount of 'strange' in Desolation :)

Enjoy! :) I find it strange that devs are not more involved. I always answer on both Steam and GOG forums (under our games). I think it is important.

That's good news, thanks! I already was afraid that Cayne's Linux support would have been the exception. At least for me it's not a problem to wait a bit longer until the Linux build is available.

Yeah, me too. I don't know if there's more going on on Steam (never used it), but in my eyes games are art, and so the devs are artists, and many (not all!) artists I know, and I'm not without guilt either, are eager to talk about their creations.
Because creation is a journey and often also a... trip, a rush, an almost religious experience, and talking about it helps tremendously to reflect, to realize it.
