(Game wise, questionable practices should be accused ;)) I honestly doubt it takes away any release slot, it would be silly to actually limit release slots given the time of year.

Of course, by "questionable" I specifically meant "potentially illegal in some jurisdictions". Personal taste may be subjectively questionable, but is nothing to complain about. Censorship of anything legal is IMHO bad, and in fact some laws are morally or politically questionable themselves...

To be fair, there are only so many man-hours available to GOG staff in a day, so a "slot" might loosely refer to the time and effort to do the work to get the software out (as sloppy as that work may be at times...). But, yes, I doubt GOG has an arbitrary numerical limit on how many releases they might try to put out.

So, something's a bit fishy around here, and it isn't the muffs of the "Yes, I'm 18" year old girls who litter the porn games.

But rather, where are the lithe twinks, androgynous men, and bishonens? Where's the game where I can play as a Femboy St. Eran, and have him make suggestive comments to St. Nicodemus?

Or perhaps less sacrilegiously, there are games where I can play as a cute twink such as Venti in Genshin Impact, but I can't help but notice they're lacking in number if even extant on GOG, especially in the area of Yaoi/BL.

Ya makes sense with the work hours. But I don't think any other release really suffers for it. At worst it would come out somewhat later.
But that is basically true for every released game, someone isn't gonna be happy and the Eroges don't really overshadow the "normal" games looking at the timeline.
So yeah the Eroges taking up any spot is rather arbitrary view from the original poster.

Rance games are quite legendary, and they are beyond just "porn games". Yes, there is porn in them, but it's more like Mass Effect or even The Witcher: you spend a lot of time in between the adult content, playing a game with actual gameplay. There's a reason why Rance has had staying power as a franchise and Sengoku Rance is actually a great strategy game.

Yeah, that one is disqualified on the name alone. They need to embrace it, not disgrace it. Trap is a terrible term, outdated, and bluntly put, unfriendly.
