My previous post wasn't meant to sound whining about older Windows systems, but to tell that there is at least one customer that wants to buy their game, but can't because of their specs. No need to feel offended in any way.
goglin: Looks good - unfortunately had to de-wishlist because of Win-10-only :-/
Will see if the devs change this after release.
SargonAelther: 1) Time to stop clinging to old versions of Windows.
2) Just because it;s not officially supported on older Windows, doesn't necessarily mean it won't run.
3) If it's Linux you're after, then I'm sure Proton can accommodate you.
1. EOL Win 8.1: 2023
2. Requires DX 12 = Win 10
3. Thanks for this. I will have a look at it (hopefully it doesn't require Steam).
amok: when specific systems are listed in the requierments, it means that those are the systems the developers have access to and can provide suport for. it does not mean it will not run on other systems, but that if you buy it then you are aware that you will not get any support for for it and you are on your own. developers do not have access to all systems under the sun, especially systems that are outside their lifecycle.
I'm aware of that. Just saying: supporting more systems (or excluding less) will help selling more copies of a game.
As written before: I would be happy if they would release a DX11-version later. If they don't it's okay also.
amok: developers themslelves depends on support for their systems, so if for example a developer is uing w7 and something goes wrong, they are not getting support from Microsoft.
That made me giggle a bit. If something goes wrong it's not that devs are calling Microsoft to fix their stuff. Instead the community / MVPs try to find workarounds for given problems. Chances for game devs getting actual support from _Microsoft_ are quite rare.
