Jalister: This looks good. I'm not bothered by achievements. In some games they can be a fun addition, and in others I don't pay attention to them. Chasing achievements breaks the immersion for many games, but in games like Saints Row 3 and 4 it kind of adds to the immersion.
Achievements can be fun for me when I'm not paying any attention to them. I still remember playing Crackdown on the X360, and when I defeated the Fu Manchu-ish guy in his penthouse, I decided on a whim to pick up his body and chuck it off the balcony down to the street. The game gave me an achievement for distance throwing or something. It was hilarious. But it absolutely wasn't something I expected or needed.
high rated
Psst. Devs/Publishers: When are you going to learn that even a single REAL screenshot that shows the UI (especially menu UIs!) will go a hell of a lot further than uncountable staged bullshots like you included.
Gameplay looks fun so I think I will get it a try
Looks good - unfortunately had to de-wishlist because of Win-10-only :-/
Will see if the devs change this after release.

Tres droll mon ami. ((;--))
This game looks really nice. Unfortunately it won't be on my wishlist only because my laptop is going to be below spec.

1) Time to stop clinging to old versions of Windows.
2) Just because it;s not officially supported on older Windows, doesn't necessarily mean it won't run.
3) If it's Linux you're after, then I'm sure Proton can accommodate you.

when specific systems ar listed in the requierments, it means that those are the systems the developers have access to and can provide suport for. it does not mean it will not run on other systems, but that if you buy it then you are aware that you will not get any support for for it and you are on your own. developers do not have access to all systems under the sun, especially systems that are outside their lifecycle.

developers themslelves depends on support for their systems, so if for example a developer is uing w7 and something goes wrong, they are not getting support from Microsoft. it is therefor only common sense that games made today are for systems that the developers themselves can get support for. if you want to use a system which is outside the official life cycle, then that will be on you.

My previous post wasn't meant to sound whining about older Windows systems, but to tell that there is at least one customer that wants to buy their game, but can't because of their specs. No need to feel offended in any way.

1. EOL Win 8.1: 2023
2. Requires DX 12 = Win 10
3. Thanks for this. I will have a look at it (hopefully it doesn't require Steam).

I'm aware of that. Just saying: supporting more systems (or excluding less) will help selling more copies of a game.
As written before: I would be happy if they would release a DX11-version later. If they don't it's okay also.

That made me giggle a bit. If something goes wrong it's not that devs are calling Microsoft to fix their stuff. Instead the community / MVPs try to find workarounds for given problems. Chances for game devs getting actual support from _Microsoft_ are quite rare.

Hmm why are people seemingly excited for that game to come here? *curious*
The game looks good. Red haired girls in an open world are always a success.

Well EOL just means security and bug fixes, not much more. Having said that, these things can always be modded, search YouTube, you'll find people modding DX12 into Windows 8.1.
Even 10 will soon become obsolete in terms of new features coming.

You will probably need Steam, but not necessarily Steam OS (If you wanna tinker). That being said, you just have to install the GOG game as a non-steam game.

Why not? I'm excited for any game to come to GOG. There can never be too many.

Exactly my thoughts as well.

Production values seem far above average for an indie AA too, and, as mentioned 2 posts earlier, red-haired protagonists, especially of the female variety are always a plus.
Here's hoping Hilda is NOT written like the chick from Horizon Zero Dawn though, which, from the video reviews I've watched to ascertain if picking up HZD is worth it, more or less came across as a replaceable walking & talking plank of wood, with some of the most illogical and incomprehensible characterisation for a playable protagonist I've had the displeasure to witness.

I don't think Aloy's that bad, though the Mary Sue criticisms she gets aren't without foundation. I think part of the problem is that she's too much of a player surrogate, or in the worst moments a dev mouthpiece, for the universe she actually exists in.

If anyone wants Steamless Proton builds, try https://github.com/Kron4ek/Wine-Builds/releases

That is a good one. The Crackdown games are still on my list of games to play.
