frosty_shake: This looks more like 8-bit to me, maybe playing a little loose with the palette.

Yes this the kind of music VNs use in their trailers for some reason, it is very grating. But check out videos of the beta, it has typical 8-bit music.

This game looks to be a cross between an NES Castlevania and The Lost Vikings (switching between 3 characters).

dtgreene: Thing is, the trailer is often what I watch first when a game I haven't heard of shows up on GOG, so it's what leaves the first impression, and the choice of music for the trailer left a negative one for me.

I have no trouble with listening to 8-bit music, but I can't listen to electric guitar without getting a headache.
I don't mind guitar, except in this case. Why portray 8bit fidelity in graphics and gameplay, but go non-midi on the music?
The game came out earlier today, but it is not in the new release news section for some reason. I only saw it on the scrolling banner on the upper part of the main page and bought it from there.
