Prepare for a skill-driven action RPG game inspired by the genre classics and set in a rich fantasy world.
Genre: Action, RPG
ICYMI:

"...so it's probably time to clarify things in regards of Chris (Avellone) here too.

It has been a while now and we were not able to take a position at time because as per anything comm-related, we were not able to say a word without asking for approval and we simply had to stick to an official statement from our publisher [that was very neutral anyway].

We can say that Chris has always been super professional with us, we worked together for a few time and he helped us shaping the world of Plamen at the very beginning of the project. The first draft of the lore, the pantheon, the cities, families, clans and companions are from Chris. Of course we iterated his work on the way in the last years but this is what he did for us, as Creative Consultant. Our cooperation ended way before the happenings in 2020. He will be properly credited."

Glad that it's releasing here as well, of course.

Interesting. Heard this game was in development hell. Glad it isn't and that it's coming to GOG. Can't wait.
'Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms is a skill-driven ARPG game inspired by such classics as Baldur’s Gate and Pillars of Eternity.'

Neither of which is what 'ARPG' generally evokes... Maybe they mean that's the inspiration for the visual style or the quest design?

There's barely anything recent but this seems to be the only in depth look from 2 years ago.

I agree, ARPG for me are Diablo-like games and not games like Baldur's Gate...

Thanks. That rather confirms it's not much like party-based RTwP.

Perhaps the Baldur's Gate they're thinking of is Dark Alliance.
Looks interesting.
Looks really nice and fun. One to keep an eye on. Wishlisted.
.
I had it on my Steam Wishlist since long time ago. I've Wishlisted here too and I will wait patienly to see who offers the best price.
Dodgerolling but in isometric perspective thats a cool idea. Hopefully its gonna arrive soon, day 0 purchase for sure.

It's in between old-school and modern action. Party is a thing, no tactical pause, iso view :)
Looks like diablo the action RPG. Nothing wrong with that but it does not look anything like Dark Souls lol

The souls-like ref is about having a tactical approach to the combat. No waves of mobs to be killed just pushing buttons whit no ratio
