In a cyberpunk mood? But make it retro? But with pixel graphics? But sprinkle it with action? But… No, no, don’t worry, we got you; Akane is coming soon on GOG!

Akane is an arena arcade slasher that will take you into the far future of year 2121, and the story of a titular character, Akane. With no escape options, she prepares for her final battle in the rain-soaked neon streets of Mega-Tokyo. You’ll meet enemies such as Yakuza, Tanks, Cyber Ninjas – take out as many of them as possible, in a slashing and shooting in a on-hit-one-kill fight to the death.

Soon on GOG!

GOG.com: Coming soon: Akane
Not for me - but here you go...
Not my kind of game. I'd rather see the Akane pictured below more on gog (or in video games in general). Yes, I know it's a common name, but it's the first one that popped to mind.

This game seens awesome. Liked the song of the trailer, waiting for it :)
Looks cool :). Vaguely reminds me of Ronin (except top-down) which I enjoyed very much.

Is the disjointed artworks in game and the poster was intentional?
The poster shows a girl with very short hair and American comic book artstyle while the one in game depicted with little bit longer hair and the cutscene has bob type haircut.
Dunno if it is good ot not. I remember installing it like 2 years ago with intention to play it, but never got to actually try it out. Thanks for reminding me of the game though, the name rang bell right away (along with a rather strange game called akane the kunoichi).
This game is a hidden gem, the gameplay loop is awesome and you can mix up katana moves with a combination of sidearms, lost countless hours on this one.
Seems very addictive. Can't wait for it!
Looks interesting, wishlisted.
Ah no wonder it looked familiar to me, I've wishlisted this game on Steam for a while

If it reached the same historical low parity I'd buy it here
