I basically got interest into this game and genre and the DRM free stance from this publisher is a big bonus. No matter this background, i just think this game is nowhere of being complete. Which is good and bad, dependable on the peoples demand. The gamers playing Paradox games are usually "hardcore-crunchers" so they want a big huge game which will take years to expand from a already big shape... surely the opposite of the "Indie mentality". There is still the downside that the content may simply take years to arrive in a somewhat complete shape and the prices are not to shabby too, so it may add a lot of demand... even on the bloated purse.
Yes, NIS is as well "demanding" a lot but the difference is, their games usually are nearly finished. Still not always the case looking at "R-Type Final 2" which got DLCs with even higher prices than the "base game" if added together and not getting level DLCs is probably not an option, the same way it is barely an option not to get the Paradox-DLCs as it would mean to much valuable content, important for gameplay, is missing. It is for those who simply can/want to afford it.
So, i guess, the conclusion is simply that i may still wait till next year in order to check out "even better deals" and if the game may have become nearly fully mature at this point.
Surely not a nice thing is the lack of LAN-support, as this is clearly a huge bonus on any strategy/tactic game which can be played multiplayer.
