Telika: The original coin-op machine's. Many games that are derived from arcades retain quirks that meant to maximize the insertion of coins more than the gameplay quality.
By not letting the player keep any power ups after death, you discourage people from continuing to play, and hence discourage them from putting another credit into the machine.

If I could keep my power-ups after using a credit to continue, I would be more inclined to actually do so.
Move Zig! For great Justice!
Read that as BioWare at first..
Nice i still have the genesis version of Twin Cobra. Might pick it up on GOG.

Well, seeing as these versions offer save states, they could likely just be ROMs with custom emulators, not to mention that they list, as a feature, "Minimal Input Lag: Emulation, input processing, and rendering all complete on the same frame.", implying that there's some emulation going on behind the scene. Don't know how they'd implement "Very Easy Mode", however. (Practice mode could be implemented via save states that are built depending on the settings you choose.)

(By the way, input lag is an important factor for some games, particularly at high levels of play. In particular, it is a big factor for shmups, which these games are, whereas it would be significantly less critical for, say, a turn-based RPG.)
yes, it definitely looks like arcade roms being shown, which is good.
now the wait is too much. i want to see how well the "packaging" will be. obviously, like many, i have just that - arcade roms via mame already, but these i will buy here too. i'm hoping for $4.99 each or maybe $9.99. if higher, well... i mean i assume after these four there might be more, and there should be. black tiger asap!!! if they will bring many more, perhaps packs would be in order. each game should have it's own shelf entry as an individual title, but they should be sold as packs, or as discounted packs as well.

as an fyi that nobody cares about, and rightly so, i will buy TC no matter the cost. no way it would be above usd50, which would be totally insane and absolutely absurd, but as a test and "because", i would pay that. once. twin cobra especially has special meaning for me, so yeah. i'm assuming if they are greedy they will be $20 each, which would be high, especially for those who want to grab/collect any and all such arcade releases.

bitwave is new here, so you would think there would be a dark brown/orange user in here fielding questions.

how soon is soon? for me, not soon enough.

and yes, i also already have all the capcom arcade games via steam. {gotta catch them all.}
