Hey guys
I'm currently working on a small hobby-project. I'm recreating gameboxes for all my old adventure games, but in a smaller format.
You can have a look at the ones I already compleated here: gamebox_frogspawn_de (I'm not allowed to post links, so _ are dots)
When recreating them, i make a complete new layout with all the graphics, text, logos and other stuff. For doing this i need high quality sources. A lot of things i repaint as vectors or use images that i found on the web.
Some images i scan from my old, original gameboxes and cleaning them up as much as possible.
But for some games i have problems finding the right sources. Either there is no high res material on the web, or i don't own the original gamebox any more (dumped or bought without).
Thats why I'm starting this thread. If you have any of the gameboxes I'm searching for, you could possibly help me and scan parts of it.
I'm searching:
- Curse of Monkey Island Manual to reconstruct the map
- Curse of Monkey Island Back for the map again
- Grim Fandango Box Front
- Grim Fandango Box Back
- Woodruff Box Front
- Zak McKracken Box Back (for the photo of the two guys)
- Feeble Files Box Front
- Feeble FIles Box Back
- Monkey Island 1 Back
- Indiana Jones Last Crusade Back
- 3 Skulls of the Toltecs Box Front or Manual Front.
Requirements:
- High Resolution Scans (preferred 1200 dpi)
- Uncompressed Scans (TIF or BMP)
- Unfiltered Scans (not retouched, no scanner filter or correction)
- Flat laying Scans. Some old boxes are bumpy. In these cases i put a eavy book inside, so it lays totally flat on the scanner and i have a clean halftone pattern.
Also, if you know any sources on the web for highres material, that i didn't discovered yet, i would be very happy.
