Hi,

Do you have to own the game on steam to claim a free copy?

Or do you somehow use GOG connect to get a copy of Limbo on GOG?

Been trying to get one for an hour.

You have to own it on Steam to get a free copy here.

Must own on Steam to redeem a free copy on GOG. That is how GOG Connect works. A marketing effort (among other things) to migrate Steam users to GOG.
