Looking for Civ3 Complete (v1.29f) trainer __that works__. I've tried a number of them without success.
Windows 10 AV is turned off.
Would APPRECIATE VERY MUCH any assistance.
Yes, dinosaur game. But, I'm showing my son games I played back in the day and the trainer is indispensable (Hurry Production a must have).
Thanks so much.
Try Civ2. There you have competent advisors.

"He speaks the truth, Your Excellency."

"I disagree, Your Excellency."

"Hah!"

Thanks for the reply, but it has to be Civ3.

Letting my kid go "retro", an old old game. But, hopefully a trainer for it that works is out there.
v1.29f is in version.txt. But, I'm not sure if GOG Galaxy has modified the game in any way.

The Elvis is best - "The people... They can't help fall in love with you"
Does Civ3 not have a built-in cheat mode like Civ2? Sorry that that's not what you asked about, but I don't remember and just thought of that...
You could create a new scenario and enable debug mode. It's not as comprehensive as Civ 2's cheat mode (or Alpha Centauri's Scenario Editor, which is just Civ 2's cheat mode renamed), but it works.

Also, if your kid is old enough, perhaps they might be interested in learning how to mod the game themself.

Edit: Also, why is this in the general forum rather than the appropriate game specific forum?

100%.
"No complaints, noble leader."

In general forum, b/c I'm new to Galaxy, looked around and wasn't sure where to post it + Galaxy had some text we could post here. Sorry if out of place.

Civ3 v1.29f has a trainer from Cyberman. Apparently, his domain and email are no longer valid. (This is an _old_ game. But, the trainer used to work with the off-the-shelf version of Civ3 I purchased waaaaay back in the day. And, I no longer have. Thus, the GOG purchase.

Has GOG possibly modified the game? The trainer lights up red for all three features it offers - meaning it doesn't have the proper addresses to write to in the cheater.

Cheat Engine can't find e.g. the amount of gold I have. So, perhaps Civ3 is written in a way to make it harder to hack. Otherwise, I'd attempt a trainer myself. But, hopefully more info about this can send me in the right direction to a working trainer.

Thanks for any reply. Much appreciated.
Does someone want to make a Hurry Production cheat for Civ 3 Conquests for $$$?

I'm a programmer. Looked at Cheat Engine 7.2. I could learn it, but someone that knows it could make a cheat to do this quickly.
Given that Civ 3 has existed for somewhere over 20 years, any trainers for it are either lost to time or never existed.

The last time I even thought about a trainer program was about back in 2003 for the Son of Beast Trainer; the sequel to the original Beast Trainer for Roller Coaster Tycoon; but even that fell by the wayside for more trustworthy looking utilities.

You'd have better luck with Civ IV since it was built on Gambryo.

yeah, it's a legacy game for sure. But, some things retro are better. ;-)

The trainers I've found don't work for Civ 3 Conquests. I used to use them all the time for other versions, though. Hurry Production is invaluable in learning the game.

fwiw, I achieved my goal, a Hurry Production cheat, via rules editing. Not exactly the ol' Civ3 cheat way of doing it but gets the job done.

I know a tool call Powerbar an a trainer made by Deviance that works on the retail version of the game with the two Add-On, I must have them in one of my old IDE hard drives, if I find them I would put a link to download them and you will just have to see if they work on the GOG version.
