GOG.com: ...
looks like Space Hack and presumably all the games are missing their game-specific forums.
Someone said Maximus XV Abraham Strong: Space Mercenary is a Diablo clone in space .

It's quite hard. There are no respawns and your money is your ammo ;)
Indeed the game has unique features, they could be called debatable. The ammo is your currency, so you do need to choose between shooting things or be a melee guy the majority of the times, but the melee weapons have durability and the money should be spent in that frecuently instead. The enemies does not respawn, so no much grinding here.

I have no idea about the Steam version, but the GOG one runs smooth and stable, no crashes for now (only once Galaxy itself, but the game continued :)), the models are somewhat outdated but they are clean and crispy, no zoom. Very confortable to play, no technical problems here.

I like the game, but I believe (if some reviews are accurate) that for a such long game it probably will lack variety in mapping and enemies.

Every Diablo player will like the concept, it is the game they want play right now (ARPG Hack and Slash hungry), but the game would need modding. It deserves it. Some decissions will not be for everybody' s taste.

Never played any of these.
Larva Morus and Nikopol definitely ring a bell (as in: I've read those names before (in reviews?)), but the only one really interesting to me is Rhiannon.
However: for those prices, I'm willing to get Space Hack as well.
I mean - Diablo 1 in space...what's there not to like?

Installed from the offline installer and played for about 10 minutes just now, runs fine out-of-the-box for me. Only time it crashes is when trying to set the in-game resolution to the one of the desktop (2560x1440 here on my end).

The build of Win10 I'm running is hardly representative though - it's fairly outdated (Nov 2019) and kept that way intentionally, it has all kinds of useless background processes and services (which tend to interfere with and keep especially older software/applications from running) deactivated and has so-called Legacy components (like Direct Play) re-enabled, which also helps with getting old games to start and run stably.

Thanks mines up to date I think..........will mess around more and try to figure out
Larva Mortus is definitely a fun little game, if you don't mind it getting a bit repetitive, and having a "power gamer" mind set when it comes to levelling up; I remember thinking "it's a good thing I focused on an offense build, otherwise things would have been a drag!"
Has anyone tried to run these games on Linux?

Especially Space Hack and Rhiannon look interesting. Also Nikopol, but it has a rather discouraging review.

How does Larva Mortus compare to Space Hack?

IronArcturus: How does Larva Mortus compare to Space Hack?
Larva Mortus is an more or less arcadish type of action/shooter game in top-down view with some horror elements and atmosphere, where you go from one room to another and you task is to clear these rooms (read: kill the evil things you encounter) and find some gear etc. In larva Mortus there is not much things to upgrade. The game can be finished in about 2 hours. Depends how fast you play.

Space Hack is an action RPG-kinda game, where you kill things and find stuff, bring these back to the settlement(s), buy and trade with the loot you find, upgrade you gear. The money and the ammunition for the energy weapons is the same, so be carefull. The has a lenght of about 40 to 50 hours of gametime.

You can find gameplay video on Youtube and also read older reviews on different sites.
