Great news! Even though the price of the games is making me go homeless.
Regarding the screenshots of "Final Blitzkrieg":

I'm somewhat sure, that howitzer in the first, respectively the fifth, screenshot is either a M12 GMC or a M40 GMC.
And seeing that howitzer fire in the fifth screenshot, without having its earth spade "dug in", seems wrong to me.

Not sure, that's how this pieces of artillery worked.

I know for sure from later models, that those couldn't fire "just so".

Of course...the game is set in wartime...security measures probably weren't as high in active combat as they were during my service time.
And yet...the loading process alone requires the howitzer to be stationary and "dug in".

I'm no expert either, but, from my modest knowledge on that subject, you may very well be right indeed.
Quite the typical sort of small oversight that nowadays' games marketed towards fans of realistic military simulations try to avoid, but it's just so hard to take in account everyone of them... It's a lot of animations to add - then multiplied by the number of (quite but no exactly) similar units afterwards -, just fo the sake of something not always correlated to the gameplay itself !
There's no way your comment would attract any attention from Slitherine here, but it's also exactly the sort of small useful nitpick lots of grognards would type on Slitherine's forums, sometimes leading to future improvements... Developers like Battlefront do strive more and more to achieve a good level of realism.
