Enjoying all the Kagura Games titles we have in the GOG catalog so far? Well, we might have some good news for you – here’s more!

Sword Princess Sistina
In this RPG, every weapon you obtain will teach you new abilities for use in battle. Use status effects and formulate strategies to take down your enemies! Explore and solve riddles to gain more powerful weapons and items; shops aren't the only source of superior equipment. Just be warned: while bosses have fixed strength, regular enemies grow stronger as Sistina does! Simply grinding won't be enough to secure victory and see Loptr and his underlings defeated.

Kotoko's a Little Weird
Kotoko follows the same routine day after day, trying to be the perfect student and sister. But is that all there is to life? One day, Kotoko decides to spice up her bland routine. Will she end up going back to her old ways, or will she grow into her own person? Follow Kotoko as she makes new friends and throws herself into some wild situations. Sure, she's a little weird, but that's all part of the fun!

Both titles are launching with a -20% discount until April 9th, 2 PM UTC!

joppo: (That said, I'm not outright against Kagura games being here if they bring in money, and I would even spend a couple hours in a few of them that look above average in graphics and gameplay.)
If you are serious, then i strongly recommend Evening Starter.

RafaelRamus: Pinball was one of the main reasons why I created a Steam account many years ago. I'm not a connoisseur by any means, but judging by the store page of all those Kagura titles everything is samey: the anime aesthetics, plots, gameplay, well, everything.
While that may be true, Pinball Construction Set is a very old, and primitive game. Old enough to have launched for the Apple ][, of all things. Also, I'm not certain that commercial distribution would have been allowed by EA.

But hey, don't let that or four color primitives stop you!

RafaelRamus: As funny as I find your comment, it's not like he doesn't have a point. A lot of old games you can find elsewhere are still not on the store.
That's probably correct. However what he (and many other) don't realize is that the release of these games have nothing to do with the non relase of those games he'd like to have here. You can be pretty sure that GOG would bring these games if they see a demand AND the possibility to get them here. Very often there are legal problems especially with older games. You read about this just recently with Alpha Protocol ... those things take time. Also some devs simply don't want to have additional work with supporting another platform while not getting much income from it because of the smaller market share GOG unfortunately has. In the meantime GOG is trying to get games here they can get easier which also do sell and therefore bringing in money to raise the possibility to get even more and other games to GOG as well.

I perfectly do understanmd that these games are not for everybody (pretty sure that they were not meant to be for everybody as well) but I am also sure that they are not the reason why the other games he mentioned are not here. To improve chances that these games will come here I suggest to contact devs, publishers and right holders to tell them that there's a true demand on GOG for these games.

That is not a genre I usually enjoy much. I am far more interested in Chevalier Historie , for example.

In that case, Ideology in Friction may be to your fancy as well.

The DLC for that one is still "Coming Soon", even though it's been released elsewhere. That's the only thing holding me back from picking up Chevalier.

I contacted Rake in Grass early last year, and they told me that they tried over and over to get their games on GOG, however, GOG each time refused. In fact, it's not just about demand, copyright or anything else, sometimes it's GOG itself saying a big "NO" to publishers/developers.

This sadly seems to be true as well and this will always be a problem with curation. However this is mostly the case when it comes to indie games (which are also often a bit newer). I was more talking about the old games you mentioned earlier and it's unlikely that GOG would refuse some true classics if they actually could get their hands on them. Regarding GOGs curation so far GOG never explained why they do accept certain games and reject others so it often feels pretty random and I can understand people who are sad or angry if a game they'd like to see here has been rejected by GOG but the reason for this most certainly is not the acceptance of other games so imo we should treat this as different things.

Huh. I did not know there was a missing DLC. I'll keep that in mind if I ever come closer to buying it. Thank you.

I'd probably play it too indeed, but truth be told it doesn't grab my interest as strongly as CH does.
