UhuruNUru: No store has any say in the release timing of content, unless they have made an exclusivity deal.
Even that doesn't set the release date on that store, it just sets the length of the exclusivity period will last for, AFTER release.

No store ever decides when content will get released on the store, that's the publisher's decision.
That's definitely not true that GOG has no say as to what the date is when games get released on GOG or not.

For example, there have been complaints from devs before who complained that GOG told them they couldn't release their game on GOG when they (meaning the devs) wanted to, because GOG told the devs that GOG's release schedule for that date was already full and GOG didn't have space on their roster to release another additional game on that date.

UhuruNUru: Question:
Do you even know how any store selling 3rd party products, even works?
Answer:
You clearly haven't got the slightest clue.

GOG is curated, unlike Steam, but that only means GOG approves specific Publishers, or (rarely) Games to be released on the store.
In both cases, on Steam, and/or GOG, it is the publisher of the game that decides;
1 When content is released on each store
2 At what price that content is sold for at all times.

No store has any say in the release timing of content, unless they have made an exclusivity deal.

It is the publishers decision when they give GOG the files but after that it is up to GOG when they finally create the gamecard and put the game online. In most cases GOG will get those files in time to meet the planned release date the devs want to have but especially with this DLC this wasn't the case. The DLCs have been released on Steam and GOG received them afterwards but then it took GOG at least a month (if not longer) until they finally released the DLC. As I said the devs themselves blamed GOG multiple time for not putting it online earlier. I left the discord since I disliked how the devs were treating GOG but if you want I could reenter the discoord and do some screenshots of those statements ... those are definitely a proven fact.

Since I talked with another user about it I can already offer you some snippets:

This is from 06/29/2022

""Hi,
Steam works differently from GOG.
On steam, we can do everything ourselves, create a page for the DLC, upload a build, test it and release it.
We do not have such possibilities on the GOG. So DLC can only be added by the GOG crew, which creates descriptions, tests the build, adds screenshots, trailers, and sets discounts. Therefore, it is difficult to ensure a date, because someone from GOG may go on vacation and everything will shift, or they will have time to add DLC in a week, not now etc.

The message I got from GOG today - Issabel and the Summer DLC will be available on Gog on July 1st"

Nothing happened on July 1st ....

This is from 07/02/2022

"Tomek Dutkiewicz: New info from GoG:
"We have postponed the release to the next Wednesday to give ourselves time to test builds and prepare product cards""

Tomek is from Madmind and he is talking about a message he received from GOG! Also, "next Wednesday" after 07/02/2022 nothing happened ...

So please don't say that GOG had nothing to do with it being delayed ...
