This is big news. Dragon's Dogma is an incredible RPG that boasts one of the best combat systems ever. The only thing that held the game back was the abysmal frame rate on the 360 and PS3. Guess that's not a problem anymore. It's slated for a PC release this January, so the wait won't be too bad. The game is definitely worth getting.

And Chrissakes GOG, get Capcom on here.

Detail page up at Capcom Unity: http://www.capcom-unity.com/gregaman/blog/2015/09/08/dragons-dogma-dark-arisen-coming-to-pc

4k support, 60fps

$30

There's some screenshots in the link and it looks killer.
Awesome stuff. I have my PS3 version which does me fine for the time being, but this will be ideal fodder for a rainy day when it eventually appears for €5 down the line.

I am just sold on 60 FPS alone.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS TO COME OUT :D

This game is the traditional fantasy D&D style RPG ON STEROIDS!!!!

The big monster Boss Fights are what makes this game, and the Dragon OH GODS the Dragon:

Thats what Smaug should have looked like :P
Steam release, unlikely to see that here. It looks ok though.

Capcom has been here since November, 2012 and in all that time they haven't released another game on GOG.

About damn time. There is a huge market for PC RPGs it's a no brainer!

Thumbs up to Capcom for making some good choices. Now if we can just bring them to GOG.

Hence the disdain for their efforts.
I played and enjoyed the "base" game on console. Very fun. I like how the classes are handled and how you can "build out" your preferred class - it's almost like the job system in some tactics games. Also neat "working" your party of characters to get them where you wanted them to be, with a fun online / friends mechanic that gave it an additional wrinkle.

I also really like the "scale" of the game world. Some journeys are downright dangerous. I could remember play sessions dedicated just to "getting there" and each time it felt like a real adventure but without feeling like a hassle.

Apparently GOG has Capcom USA, which has limited rights to titles. Capcom Japan would give greater access, but GOG has stated in the past that Japanese publishers have been the most reticent to offer games free of DRM.

Yeah, that would explain it and another reason for them not partnering could be that there are no regional restriction of sales (for Japan) on GOG like on other stores.
About time, I was waiting years for this to happen. It's always weird to see these companies wait years to port these things, have a huge success when they are on steam and then forgetting about the pc completely again when the generic shovelware doesn't sell as well.

Capcom has, just in general, been having a pretty great turnaround as of late. They went to shit for a while, but it looks like their emphasis on mobile bit them in the ass. Which is great, because they used to be my favorite developer. I want to see them be great again, and this is a good step.
It's Capcom, game will never come to GoG unless a miracle happens.
