There was a coupon sent to me that had a choice of 1 of 3 games/ I have 1 of the games already. but when I try to choose another it goes to the store but won't give me the discount promised?

Don't left click on the game that you want (that way, you'll end up on the game's store page without getting the discount).

If you want to check on a game before you go to the check out, right click on it and open its store page in a new tab.

If you already own a game, the coupon will not allow you to buy this game again, so it should be greyed out, or something.

If you want only one of the two remaining games, simply de-select the game that you don't want, by clicking in the checkbox of said game, thus removing the selection for that game.

Ok, I looked it up.

My bad - nothing is pre-selected, so you can't de-select anything.

Now to your question:

you select the game(s) which you want to buy, by left clicking into the checkbox to the right of the game's name.

If you want to check out a game's store page before you choose, simply right click on that game's name and open a new tab.

The game you already own can't be selected, because it features no checkbox.

Once you selected at least one game, you can click on the button "redeem" at the bottom of the coupon.

That button takes you to the check out area.
