I use Google Drive to sync my games across multiple computers (a setup I use and prefer for all my games, whether or not they include a cloud service of their own).

I have installed the Galaxy launcher, and I really like it -- however, it won't sync through Google Drive.

If I try to sync just the saved games and preferences folders for each game, then the game will start up but will not show any saved games. (This applies both to saves that were pre-existing at the time the link was created and to new saves.)

If I try syncing the entire Games folder from the Galaxy launcher, the game won't even start up. The Play button will be lit, but clicking it does nothing.

I tried setting up Google Drive as my install location, but the installation failed.

My Google Drive setup works flawlessly for everything else -- except this.

Has anyone else had a similar problem and found a solution?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't use Google Drive, but Galaxy is still in beta, so it might not be supposed to work with that in the first place. Contact Support, and ask them, that's all I can tell you .
If you are trying to sync the games themselves, that is unnecessary, Galaxy will already keep them all up to date for you. In fact, Galaxy is likely to overwrite any synced game files on its own when it does update the games, so it is probably pointless to try. If all you are trying to do is sync save files and preferences across multiple machines, in most cases, it should just be a matter of setting those files and directories to sync with Drive, however, not all games are going to keep their save and preferences in the same locations and some of those directories might be protected from syncing. It might help to give us the name of one of the games you are trying, so we can work the problem, then apply what we learn to the rest.
I sync only the saves and (in some cases) preferences files across multiple machines.
I play on two different computers and I use both of them nearly daily.

The specific game in this case was Might & Magic 6.

For this game, the Saves folder is located in the main game directory -- the game has to be started and a save created before it appears.

I know I don't have to use the Galaxy launcher, but I like it and would like to use it if I could.
