Enclave996: I'm getting gog.com servers returned an unknown error when trying to install Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 and 2 with GOG Galaxy, haven't tried the offline installers yet. I imagine this is related to the issue in this thread.

edit:

I can do the offline installers.
But is Mr. Flibble very cross?

LaughingMan008: I wonder if anybody else is having this issues. I used multiple web browsers and had this issue with each of them.
Jokes aside, shyte like this is why I try to DL all games/updates ASAP(thankfully, I only have a small handful of my
latest purchases yet to DL). Here's hoping(crosses fingers, toes, whatnot) GOG gets this SNAFU sorted quickly.

XD I got that reference.
I'm new to GOG and quite disappointed. Has this ever happened before?

Not to this extent, both in term of the number of games/files affected and the length of time it has so far persisted.

Couldn't find these on the list:

Plague Tale: Requiem
Warhammer 40k Mechanicus
Space Hulk Deathwing

Can't use the offline backup option.

edit: this was before the op made this thread by a couple hours.

In three years using GOG, I've never seen this happened before.
Im not saying it did not happened in the last three years, but that I personally do not recall it happening in the last three years that I had experienced.

Not that I’m aware of. I have never personally seen problems like this. I hope they get it fixed soon… or at the very least up date us on what the actual issue is, along with a general eta

Maybe regional server problem? From Western US just dowloaded 875 kb .exe and 2.9 gb .bin offline installers for Beytrayer. No errors.
So it's just my rotten luck that I tried to download my first GOG games when the server was having an extended meltdown. Oh well, hopefully they'll fix it soon.

This does not affect every game and every file, only a subset, so testing just two files is meaningless. Try downloading all your games; I'm sure you'll find some examples, unless your library is very small.

Always
Okay, so just to add to this I am unable to download or update any of my games. Some have already been listed in this forum, but I don't think it's game specific as I've clicked on something like 25 odd games to see if anything would install, I also attempted to update some already installed games.

I noticed this as I was trying to install my newly purchased copy of Demon Lord Reincarnation.

Before coming to the forums I attempted to fix the issue myself first by following all the instructions I found in relation to "Installation Failed E9" message, which I received after every attempt. Nothing has worked, and I just nuked my install of GOG Galaxy and started fresh.

I'm guessing it'll be a little bit before things are back to normal?

Downloading Batman Arkham Asylum, Metro Exodus and Metro Last Light, right now and everything is apparently fine.
I plan to download other games that are not on my backup right now too for safety later and if I find anything broken, I will report it here.

By the way, I use lgogdownloader, but I don't think this affects anything at all, as I think they all fetch from the same store download links after authentication confirmation.

Not entirely meaningless. Two examples are two more than zero. But I agree with your overall point, 16 examples are better than two, and a hundred would be better than sixteen. Anyway, that was the only game from my library not downloaded, so I tried it, and my previous post's purpose was only to report that experience.
