Ok, after going through this whole thread as it presents itself so far, I think you’re sending people on the wrong path with your initial request.
As you can see, so far, everyone has made proposals revolving around the firefighting aspect, yet in your second response
(post #6) you state that

you had to rescue someone from a burning building. That someone was probably
calling for help, and
(at least) this mission
(putting the fire out) probably was time limited.

took (mostly) part in outside levels, and
the burning building in the mission/level with the fire rescue
was probably a farm (-building).

you played this game on a console. It was
(most likely) on a PS 1, but could also be on any of the other consoles of that same generation
(or the following generation) like: Sega Saturn, Sega 32X, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Nintendo GameCube, or Xbox.
