toxicTom: Read the books first.
If I'd read the books first, I probably wouldn't have minded Triss being tortured a bit longer... Oh well, maybe next time.
Personally I wouldn't. It feels like a single player mmo. No rpg really. Just action sequences and a big map filled with repeats of the same thing. Also it felt quite janky, getting stuck in th geometry, not being able to climb things, horse control not great. Didn't get a story either, something about following a woman. TBH I didn't get too far, even after a couple of attempts it's just very average or below, can't see what the hype was for. Witcher 1 was ok, but the rest of the cannon is pretty worthless.

Have you played Undertale?

(Also, if you don't mind going off GOG and don't mind visual novels that tackle real-world issues (and don't mind games that could be triggering), I could recommend looking into Secret Little Haven ($5 on itch.io) and One Night, Hot Springs (free on itch.io).

Lone_Scout: What a sexist attitude... :/
I don't mind playing characters of different gender in games. However, this kind of game might be of your liking or not (tastes are so personal that you can't compare to other games), but the Witcher 3 is one of the best RPGs of nowadays, so it's not a bad addition to your library. Enjoy it!
When I play a rpg I like to get into my character. It's harder when main protagonist is male. That's why I waited so long to buy this title.

BeatriceElysia: I bought it, not because of mods, but because now I have all noteworthy rpg in my collection.
Infinity Collection, NWN2 series, Divinity: OS series, Shadowrun series, Pillars series, Skyrim, Drakensang series... if I forgot something, just remind me.
and of course witcher series.
Fallout, Temple of Elemental Evil, Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines, Arcanum, The Age of Decadence.

Huh. What do you dislike about Fallout?

Arcanum was for years my most played game ever. I love it to pieces. I highly recommend it. The soundtrack is wonderful. The character creation with its choice of back stories is wonderful. The setting is unique. Don't bother with the real-time combat. Wonderful game.

Sorry, I was just kidding X)

It's great that many games reflect modern diversity, but you shouldn't expect many other games, like The Witcher series, to be non-racist, egalitary and LGBT-friendly. There must be dark worlds, shaped by injustice and greed (much like our real world). Different gameplay experiences for different users, I guess.
Nobody should be judged for which game plays.
For example, I liked Hatred (although I can play it no more, I kept the desura key for myself and gifted the steam key to a friend...), Manhunt, Carmaggedon, Death Skid Marks and a long etc of games that don't reflect my personality (?) but i just love playing.

Btw, is Hell Blade worth playing? It's on my queue of pending unfinished games. I liked the setting and found the visuals astonishing, but wasn't much appealed by gameplay. Looked like a 3D HOG with some combat. And I didn't find combat to be specially good. But I only played a small part, and I will probably give it a second chance.

I was just pulling your leg... :)
Btw, Vampire the Masquerade isn't so creepy. Well, it is if you compare to Twilight movies, but it's a nice RPG. Somewhat dark setting, but not scary.

Fallout 3 is a shooter. The original Fallout and Fallout 2 are from 1998-ish. They are isometric turn-based rpgs like Temple of Elemental Evil.

10 years after Fallout 2, Bethesda bought the rights and made Fallout 3, changed everything.

The origianl is still a classic.

First two are isometric like misteryo said. And even in 3 and NV, you can go full melee/hand-to-hand builds and kill everything without much issue if you want to avoid guns.

ShadowWulfe: If you do buy don't import save from TW2. The game doesn't carry over data correctly.
How so? I did initially import it and it did work.

As far as I can tell. Didn't beat the game then

On my full playthrough I simulated the save.
maybe
