JakobFel: Oh, gotcha. So what about the modern trilogy, where does that fit?

jcwelchjr: I included several references and a couple of characters from Shadowrun Returns, as it takes place in 2054, it fits within the timeframe Brothers to the End takes place (Aug 2057-Jan 2058), which is between 2050 (SNES Shadowrun), and 2058 (Sega Shadowrun). I had to connect all three of them for continuity sake.

Although both Dragonfall and Hong Kong take place within that same time frame (Dragonfall-2054, Hong Kong-2056), they take place in Germany and Hong Kong and not Seattle; I did not include any references to those games.
Ohh so I should do the SNES game, then Returns WITH the mod, then the Sega one and then Dragonfall and Hong Kong can just be whenever? Sorry for the confusion haha, thanks.

That works, although you don't have to play Returns, before Brothers, There isn't a whole lot that connects it to my mod except a few vague references to the story and one character. Nothing even approaching spoiler territory. My main goal with Brothers to the End was to make a faithful prequel to the Genesis version and a faithful sequel for the SNES one.

In fact, I included more canon from the PnP modules and novels than I did Returns

You'll need to get Dragonfall though, because the Brothers to the End UGC I made for Returns stops at Act 3, and most of the maps are different. It's the Dragonfall version that is the full version.

I have the Harebrained trilogy so I only need to get the SNES and Sega versions. I plan to play all of them, I just wanted to figure out the best order to enjoy them in haha. I've never played the PnP version (I'd love to, just don't have Tabletop Simulator or people to play it with) but I would definitely love to play all the video games.

You'll have a great time! Have fun, and when you get through Brothers to the End, I'd love your opinion on it.

jcwelchjr: There is some fantastic user-generated content available for the trilogy. Some of them are as good as the base games themselves.
If I promise not to prioritize them over your own module, would you be willing to share some further recommendations? ;) I haven't played any user-made content for the trilogy yet.

Absolutely! I would highly recommend you play these on Dragonfall:

Mercurial
Antumbra Saga
Shadowrun: Unlimited
Codename Cherise

On Hong Kong check out The Caldecott Caper and CalFree in Chains, as well as Vox Populi.

That should keep you busy for a bit. :)
