As for the article, it's an interesting idea, but a bit counterintuitive to tie game acquisition with mining considering that it's mining that's jacking up the GPU prices. Also, the thought of yet another client dangling shamelessly in the wind makes me want to set something on fire.

Guys I think the quote showed up when the OP first got to the page (a screen comes up with a quote on it and then you proceed to the article). I'm guessing s/he remembered the quote and then attributed it to Brian Fargo because the article was about him. Just guessing. But the quote I got was from Oprah Winfrey (and no... not the same quote as in the OP).

Yes. That was brilliant from a Russian standpoint. Disastrous for the US, but brilliant for Russia. They wasted decades fighting a cold war and losing it, because the US just outspent them. Then Russia recovers and retaliates by making the US destroy themselves.
