Fraxx0r: Why do you think I suddenly started to be active on this forum after all these years of having of an account and using it? :D
I can't even remove it as many others wouldn't be able even if they would "click on it" today (you have to talk to the support in any case). Plus there is a difference between just closing of an account and asking for a right to be forgotten (where applicable). Support doesn't even bother to answer and if - once per few months. So.. I can't solve some issues I have to first before even getting to the point of closing of an account. They completely block any attempt for conversation. I want to know where they shared my data and how my data were managed before because I caught them lying and working with so many 3rd parties they never and nowhere mentioned before, which is breaking the law. Plus the all infrastructure of these services seems very problematic.
Before I would even ask for a complete data removal, I have to know what happened because there is still a risk coming from here -> they already admitted to me that some data that supposted to be removed weren't (removed on my personal request handled by 2 employees and confirmed in the past by them about it being done). So, I can't even ask for removal of my account until I will be sure it will done. I have a right to protect my data and they don't really care. This needs to be probably solved by 3rd party because they showed months of ignore and shady behaviour on that issue, which just proved it's a real problem.
Also if a company completely breaks the law and contract - which gives you reasons for boycott - you can't just close it (unless it's a real emergency which creates damage to you - well.. it will anyway). That is good for the company. They could immediately burry everything shady that went around your account, even if they wouldn't otherwise and kept those data for 6 years.
I have to keep it for now for another reasons. And even if I wanted to remove my account and data - I can't.
It's like a hostage situation.
People that have serious reasons for boycott - boycott because there is nothing else they can do and that is the problem here.
Many people are in some similiar situations - like refunds, etc...
And GOG obviously couldn't care less. Which is just further proved by how long this boycott takes a place.
