Is there any way to block genre tags in the store? Like blocking the Visual Novel tag?

Nope. At least not with filter options GOG offer. Maybe some user-created script could do that, but I haven't tried them in a long, long time.

Well that sucks. I got tired of seeing them all over Steam and I'm already tired of the several I've seen here. And to be honest, I didn't even know user-created scripts for GOG was a thing. Should've been obvious. I'll have to look into it, thanks.

There aren't that many on GOG (below 30, according to search results), you'll live, probably. ;)
