Does GOG have a definition for "Soon"? I attempted to find a release date for Baldur's Gate 3 and was unable to.

Thanks!

Thanks. I had the incorrect studio, which did not help. Unfortunately no release date is posted. Nice graphics on the trailer however.

Spelling it correctly would probably help in your quest for info, too. =D

Seriously, though, I get the impression that they're not really far enough along in development to have anything like a date in mind yet. The best you might get is an estimated release window: "third quarter of 2020" or something like that.

You know you get things for that:

The game is still in early phase of development. This means we won't see it before late 2021. I can't wait to see some details about the game, but we need a lot of patience. :)

to be honest I'm hoping for late 2022... I'd like a somewhat "working" game not their normal "that will do"

I think in the case of announced games, it means "Hey, this is coming here too! Do not rush and buy it at the other store!"

D:OS and D:OS2 prove that Larian isn't happy with "that will do" thing, so its safe to presume that we'll get a very good game. :) I think it won't come out later than in 2022.

probably not any time soon. but when it does i'm sure it will be awesome!
I'm still not sure why there need to be a third part to a story that was already complete and finished, and how Forgotten Realms and Larian would ever fit together. I see lots of potential for disappointed BG fans, but knowing Larian I'm confident that at least the gameplay mechanics will be fun and interesting.

BG3 will have a new, separate story. It's not a direct sequel of the first two games. BG3 is more like a spiritual heir of BG1 and BG2. Also the story will take place in Baldur's Gate, so the title is justified in my opinion.
I find it's always easier to predict the releasedate after it's released.

Strange, I've never heard of a game called Bladder's Gate, but apparently it must be popular having already two games in the series.
I'll probably just wait for Baldurs Gate III: Enhanced Edition in 15 - 20 years. That's when I'll be finished with my current backlog of RPGs.

You haven't heard of "Bladur's Gate"?

It's up the Sorwd Coast northward from Cnadelkeep.
