black screen when i load gog. any help

With such descriptive details of your current problem, this should be really easy for someone to diagnose and offer a fix...

simple. they are watching season one of gog vs magog and havent turned on their monitor!

Don’t “load gog” then whatever that means. I assume it’s another client malware dumbing down the use of computers and ruining stores and the drm free movement.

This is the customer base that gog is so desperate for.

Hello, James. That was possibly one of the least helpful diagnostics we've been given.

Here's what you should do. Open your equivalent of a terminal, and try launching (what I presume to be) GOG Galaxy.

Read the text that appears while it attempts to load. It's probably a missing system library.

Turn on your monitor.

I have a slightly similar, possibly related issue. When ever I play The Surge and Galaxy is called, exiting the game leads to my Galaxy window failing to render until I minimize and reselect it (displaying nothing but a black window or screen). if it is full screen, I have to alt-tab out of it, because I cannot find the minimize button.

But it is not such an issue that I cannot operate.
