Best : Blade Runner! with Lion King, Aladdin and Battle for Middle Earth as honorable mentions.

Worst (that I've played) : Probably Terminator 2.

Films:

Best : Mortal Kombat, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy and Wing Commander.

Worst : the 2nd Mortal Kombat.

I haven't played the game yet, so how does The Chronicles of Riddick rate in this regard?

In fact, I think the game is better than the movies.

And Vin does the voice work in the game which is nice. Of course, he's a gamer so that's expected.

Haven't watched the movies. The game is actually good. I found Escape from Butcher Bay superior to Assault on Dark Athena in almost every aspect. Granted, the latter had its moments, especially the first hours or so. Kevin VanOrd wrote at the time: "Nevertheless, Dark Athena is not awful, but it inspires more indifference than excitement."
There are some poorly designed segments in the sequel, most of them after reaching Aguerra Prime. Beware the alpha drones and those spider turrets. My take on AoDA: too much shooting, not enough stealth.
Voice acting was top-notch though (in both games).

Sounds like Riddick winds up in the "Good Tie-In" column, then. I really oughta get on my butt and play it one day.

God knows I hate to agree with you, but you're right, that is an unforgivable omission.

I've known people that dedicated their entire lives to that game. :P

I used to think that game was awesome. Then I played Perfect Dark.

I beat the game(s) on the 360 back in 2012-ish, and coming back to the PC showed more of it's issues.

Regardless, they were solid games.

Far better than say... oh... Superman on N64.... :P

Someone mentioned it before, but Spider-Man 2 for the PS2 was a masterpiece not only as a tie-in but as a game on its own merit. Star Wars Jedi power Battles is also great (it's based on Episode 1).
