teressapeter: Yeah finally, someone mentioned the VPN I purchased on black friday. It was Ivacy VPN, so far so good. The price was lowest and the service is better than many other VPN providers which cost you a lot more money for nothing. I would vote here for Ivacy VPN, truly a secure VPN and yes they won fastest VPN award this year as well.
Frussel: You can find good deals all year around actually. Yesterday I found this deal for Surfshark on slickdeals:
you get 2 year sub + 1 month free for $47.76, coupon provided is 'shark1mo' in case you don't want to click on the link (I know I don't like clicking on random links). My point is and I agree with you on this one - just look around the net and you'll find plenty of good deals for premium VPNs, don't go for the free ones.
Don't fall for the cheapest vpn, they are expensive for a reason. As a gamer, my team and I were facing the following issues:
- Our ISP was throttling our bandwidth. Most of the ISPs do not upgrade their infrastructure they usually throttle the user's bandwidth and blocked the ports which the games are using as they consume a high amount of bandwidth (So we needed PORT FORWARDING)
- We need to access the new releases which were not released in our region that were only possible with the VPN.
- As gamers, we travel a lot and ave to use public wifi. Public Wifi are commonly known as the breeding ground of cybercriminals. In some regions, their governments have banned certain sites and services. So access our favorite content abroad we needed VPN (So we needed WiFi VPN)
- Almost every gamer has to experience DDoS, in competitive environments, there is a high risk of getting ddosed. So, we needed a solution that can prevent us from DDoS. (Add on which can prevent us from DDoS)
- Lag and speed is the dilemma which gamers face from time to time. (So we needed a Gaming VPN)
- To secure our Bitcoin, Gaming accounts, data, communication which we used to do for planning stuff we needed secure encrypted communication. So that. even if a hacker get hands-on our communication it would be all rubbish for him/her.
- We needed VPN who does not keep a log and sell it to the third parties, so we were looking for No LOG VPN.
After trying many solutions we came across a VPN which we have been using for years and its working like a charm since now. As a solution we found PureVPN. If you are facing any of the above stated issues then its worth checking out. Hope this helps!!
