Ok,im looking for a really good dungeon hack n slash game.any ideas.
Here: Torchlight

Period: Diablo 1 or 2
I'd say elder scrolls 1 arena is more of a hack and slash than daggerfall was, so that one.
Torchlight is absolutely dire. It is carefully engineered tedium.

But I have a spare GOG key for it from back when it was free. If you'd like to subject yourself to Torchlight, just ask and it's yours!

I have not yet played Torchlight, but Torchlight 2 is very good.

Well Torchlight 2 is Torchlight 1 on steroids. :P

Then let's forget Torchlight. We agree about the important things.

Diablo 1, 2 and 3 (as folks have said). 3 is actually pretty good.

Dragon Age Inquistion has a nice dungeon hack-n-slash feel to it. It has some serious RPG moments going on, but it's still pretty good.

For the turn-based First-Person Perspectives, Legend of Grimrock 1+2 (haven't played 2, but I heard it's better than 1) and Might and Magic X were outstanding.

Sacred 2 is very fun.

For an oldie, Dark Stone is one of my favs. But that's best to play with a few friends.

The Grimrock games Tallima mentioned were clearly (and thoroughly) inspired by Dungeon Master, so they're worth a look.

I want to try that but the download is soooooooooooo biiiiiiiig! I would imagine even given it's age the specs are bitch.
Torchlight, yes! I have a gift code, if you're interested (though at this point, I'm kinda guessing everyone and their dog does). TinyE told me to come here, I think!
(Side note, I've played Torchlight myself, it's fun. I had a ferret.)
Would Din's Curse count as a dungeon based hack n' slash? You spend most of your time in dungeons below whatever town you've been tasked with saving, it has a ton of classes and everything else that seems standard for a dungeon hack n' slash. I've had fun with it, but I've only spent an hour or so in it. It's a bit too easy though, well...until it isn't.
