I'd back this, Stasis is a great game.
If Stasis is an indication of what these guys can achieve, I'm willing to bet Beautiful Desolation will be an awesome game too. From what I've seen on their very informative KS page, everything looks stunning & tasty and $15 isn't going to break the bank. Not to mention the Beautiful Desolation + Stasis tier which should be great for anyone who hasn't played Stasis yet.

FrodoBaggins: Already backed this. SO excited! ( :

It's disappointing though, that Cayne isn't available on GOG yet, but it's out on steam.
Should have been released on both sites at the same time.
I asked yesterday what the ETA for CAYNE on GOG was and he repsonded pronto:

"Hey there, probably in a week or so. :) GOG are excited to have CAYNE - their review process is just really stringent. take care. Chris"

sorry for neglecting to post that here!!!

also from Chris in the KS comments:

"all rewards will be DRM free and delivered as such. So via Steam or a DRM partner (probably somebody beginning with a G...). For STASIS we even had a direct download for the extra goodies. thanks!"

small note: just for those who like all of the information, and this doesn't mean how it will be going forward with the STASIS or BD keys, this is just how it was with the KS STASIS key - I backed a tier that was essentially "deluxe" (with bonus content: soundtrack and whatever else things) and I do not have the "deluxe" edition on GOG, it was the basic version and I dled the extras via a direct download. I am happy with this (even though "deluxe" on here would be preferred!)

The artwork is truly gorgeous. The character's glasses seemed a bit big though.

I love backing indie games with DRM free options, even more so if they like working with GOG (as these devs seem to).
I only heard of this project yesterday but was quickly persuaded that it was worth backing.

If you enjoyed STASIS, or if the KS page looks good to you, I doubt this game will disappoint.
The pledge tiers are a solid value, and the early bird discounts (going fast) make that even better.

Take a look :)
This is one of the things I love about this community...hearing about new point and click games I was not aware of. +1 drealmer7.
I'm working my way through Stasis now.

It's great - I'm really enjoying it. I'll happily pay a few dollars for Cayne.

Will certainly pick this one up as well, although I probably won't kickstart it.
Unrelated to actual topic but since there's people who played stasis I wanted to know if puzzles are convoluted like some reviews claim.

Liked sanitarium a lot and heard it was a huge influence on the game, just have 0 patience for convoluted puzzles. Thanks in advance! (Had to refer to walkthrough once or twice for sanitarium but never felt frustrated, can't say the same about grim fandango)
Backed it as soon as I got the notification email from the developers. I think what these guys are doing, the kind of games they want to make, is just awesome. Very happy to support them. The style of this new game looks even more unique than Stasis; an adventure game set in an Africa-inspired setting ... has there even been a game like that before ?!

I'm not sure how far into the game I am, but it feels like I have to be quite a ways in. I'm several acts into it.

So far, I've come across only one puzzle that left me "WTFing" when I finally gave up and looked at a walkthrough.

Note that I'm not particularly bright, however, so that's actually ahead of the curve. Usually I'd be waaaaaaay deep into "give up and just read the damn walkthrough from here on out" point by now.

So I'd say it's nothing to worry about.

The puzzles aren't so bad. There was one in particular that through me off and needed a walkthrough.I doubt I am the only one either. The rest were rather fun to work out.

and project backed. I can't wait.
