Hi,

I would like to know why is my avatar not showing in my posts (I have posted only two times)?
When I go to settings my avatar looks ok but it doesn't actually show in my posts.

Any advice?

The new avatar shows up in some places (like the topic list, the top of the screen when making a new post, when you mouseover the avatar (provided you aren't that particular user), and in replies), but just doesn't show up to the left of the post.

As ZFR said, it's a known bug.

(Note that I recently changed my avatar and am therefore affected by the bug.)

It's a known and long standing bug (some people have changed theirs a couple of months ago, and it still doesn't show). One's chosen avatar only shows on the General discussion page when they're the OP of a thread (you can easily check this for your own thread), and when their posts are quoted.

Forum bugs are very very very low on GOG's TO DO list, if at all.
There have been other threads and posts about this, and as far as I know GOG has not responded to any of them. Perhaps contact support to get an official answer? Keep in mind though, that it may take a good while as things related to the Summer Sale take priority.

For some reason changing the avatar only changes the smaller one on the forum. The large one remains unchanged. Now my profile is a hodgepodge of Doom and Homeworld. :P Doomworld!

My advice: don't change your avatar.
