over the last few year the Battletech universe has seen a revival.
my introduction to this game world was in '91 with The Crescent hawk's revenge on a 386. Then a huge gap till the first Mechwarrior 2 game in '95/6 and the 'real' Battletech game in '96, miniatures and all.
Ignoring the console games there is a healthy back catalogue of games that I believe would be right in GOG's perveue.
Obviously there is the current 2018 Battletech game here already and Mechwarrior 5 - Mercs will be an exclusive on Epic store till the end of next year but let's not get into that shit show. What I think a lot of people want to see is a GOG revival of Battletech's past glory days. So in chronological order here's what games should be in everyone's list for a GOG revival:
1988 Battletech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception
1989 MechWarrior
1990 Battletech: The Crescent Hawk's Revenge
1995 Mechwarrior 2: 31st Century Combat
1996 Mechwarrior 2: Mercs
1998 MechCommander
1999 Mechwarrior 3
2000 Mechwarrior 4: Vengence
2001 Mechcommander 2
2002 Mechwarrior 4: Mercs
I understand that not all are realistic but I feel that everything '95 on wards is doable.and within the scope of GOG.
There have been a few Battletech request threads here in the past but it is only recently that there has been enough general public interest in the franchise. Does anyone else think now is the best time there has been to expand Battletech on GOG?
