Gnostic: I am sorry if this had been brought up

Recently In the steam store a number of people are leaving negative reviews on Baldur Gate because the developers release an update that dumb down the game mechanics and such.

Anyone tested the GoG EE version? Has it become as bad as they claim?

Regals: Why is this steam garbage here?

Go to the steam forums and cry...
See how that turns out.

Eram... TinyE might even come by and give your post a hug on steam.

GOG you choose to install patches.
You actually own the game here... not renting
I bring it up because the same thing seems to happen to the GoG version and not many GoGers notice.

I tried using the older patch but it says unable to update because your current version is a newer version.

So if you don't have the older version of the base game you cannot patch it to the previous version.
So let me summarize - the EE editions had a bad lunch because of plethora of bugs, then after a few months they were fixed and everything was ok (this is the time I started reading positive reviews on GOG and Steam) and now they are again buggy, WTF is going on?!?

hmmm... :-/ in romania there is a saying "ziua buna de dimineata se cunoaste". it means that the good day is known from its beginning. but the bad day also. everything that starts in a certain way ends the same. english man have similar saying "everything comes full circle". it's good to know these things i guess

They're not buggy. They're 'enhanced'. With features you did not want.

Is Icewind Dale EE the same, or is the next to follow, do I have to backup installers? Is Galaxy roll-back feature be possible if I have never installed the old version?
